9 Months

Oh my word, how is this possible?!  What a joy and blessing these past 9 months have been.  Graham keeps us laughing ALL of the time with his hilarious personality.  He is my little buddy...we have so much fun every day - running errands, going to the park, playing with friends, hanging out at home - whatever we do, we have a blast!  We just love him so much!

Stats: Graham had a PERFECT 9 month check-up today!  The Dr. and nurses couldn't believe his curly hair!
Weight: 19 lbs. 10 oz - 50%
Length: 29 1/2 in - 90%
Head: 86% - don't remember the exact measurement!

Milestones: Still crawling everywhere, pulling up on anything and everything, got his 3rd tooth last week - the top left, standing for about 6 seconds at a time without holding onto anything.  He responds to certain words when we say them - wave, clap, bounce, shake (a toy).  Graham is starting to say Dada all of the time, along with lots of other babbling.

Behavior: He is very easy going and laid-back, but extremely busy at the same time.  Graham is still VERY social, talking to and smiling at anybody who will pay attention to him!

Sleep: Graham is on a great schedule!  He goes to bed about 8:00, and he sleeps until about 6:30 or 7, has a bottle, and goes right back to sleep until about 8:30.  His morning nap is between 10 and 10:30.  He has consistently been sleeping for an hour to an hour and a half!  And then his afternoon nap is between 2 and 2:30, and he sleeps an hour and a half to two and a half hours!!!  His good naps make such a huge difference, for both of us!

Clothes: Graham wears all 6-12 month and 9 month clothes.  He is still in size 3 diapers, both regular and overnight.

Food: We are transitioning to 4 bottles at 6 oz each a day - 6:30, 10:30, 2:30, and 7:45.  He eats fruits and veggies at 9:00, 12:30, and 6:30.  Graham still loves his baby food!  We have tried several different combinations of food this past week, and he mostly loves all of them.  The one thing that he struggles to get down and makes a horrible face is green beans.  It's pretty funny watching him eat them!

Likes: crawling everywhere, pulling up, pacifiers, making loud noises with his toys, bath time, swinging, shrieking, "talking", singing songs - a new favorite is Patty Cake, reading books, ball popper toy, climbing, being outside

Dislikes: being strapped into things, being redirected when going towards something he can't play on, having his face or nose wiped

Favorite Moment: Mother's Day was so special!  My boys spoiled me, and I was just reminded over and over again of the huge blessing it is being Graham's mom.

Most Challenging: We had to start doing a little discipline.  Last week, Graham thought it would be a good idea to try and stand up in his high chair.  And I let him pull up and play with most things, but our TV cabinet is not one of them.  I've had to pick him up a couple of times and redirect him to something else, and he became like a limp noodle in my arms and was crying...SERIOUSLY?!  I didn't think that would start this early!  It is so sad to see his face react when we say no firmly, but we know we've got to stay on top of this and be consistent.

Looking forward to: We have lots of fun things coming up this next month including Cousins Camp, Trent's first Father's Day, and a family reunion!  I'm also so excited about our neighborhood pool being open everyday...I hope to go about 3 or 4 times a week!

 My sweet boy!

 Perfecting his wave!

Ha!  Caught him off balance and falling over, but he regained his balance!

This is such a fun age!  He is exploring and learning so many new things everyday!  I love just sitting back and watching him play.  Oh Graham, we love you so much!
