Bennett's 1st Birthday

What a fun day we've had celebrating our sweet Bennett!  We can't believe he's already 1 year old!  Such a fun and busy stage.

 Stats: Weight 28 lbs.
He had to go to the dr last week for a rash so I know his weight, but I won't get his official stats until his check-up on the 30th.
All I know is big! :)

Eating: We switched to whole milk this week!  He has a bottle at 8:30, 12:30, 4:30, and 7:30.  As far as food goes, he's doing the same thing as Graham did - gagging and throwing up when he eats any textured food or chunks.  So we are just sticking to baby food for now.  He's clearly getting enough to eat!  He loves his oatmeal and yogurt in the mornings.

Personality: This sweet boy is bursting with personality!  He's social, funny, BUSY, independent, vocal about what he wants, adventurous, and a charmer.  The past couple of weeks he has started throwing fits when he doesn't get what he wants or I take something away from him.  It's hard not to laugh!

Sleeping: He sleeps at night from 8-6:30ish.  His morning nap is 9-10, and his afternoon nap is 1:30-4ish.

Likes: wrestling, trains, singing and dancing, being outside, playing with Graham, reading, baths, the refrigerator, swinging

Dislikes: being confined, his carseat, being told no

Milestones: He went from taking a few steps one day to completely walking just a week later.  Labor Day weekend was when he started walking all of the time.  His face is always covered in bumps and scrapes from running or falling into something!  He still has 8 teeth.  He is understanding so many words.  Bennett has also started pointing and grunting a lot.

Clothes: He is wearing mostly 18 month clothes.  Size 6 shoes.  Size 5 diapers.

Favorite Moments: I just loved celebrating him at his party last Sunday and all day today!  It's also been great watching him and Graham play more and more.

Looking forward to: I'm looking forward to some cooler weather and being able to play outside with the boys.  We will be able to go to the park in the afternoons and play in the backyard.  It's nice that Bennett is walking so that he'll be able to play at the park with Graham.

It was a lot of fun that Bennett's birthday was on a Saturday so we could do lots of fun stuff as a family!

Balloons to wake up!  He wasn't sure what to think at first!

 But he liked them!

 A candle in his yogurt!

 Time for presents!

And then we went to the zoo!
Crawling through the fish tunnel for the first time!
He caused a backup because he wouldn't go at first!

 My fave - the giraffes!

And what Graham had been asking for the whole time - the carousel!

 Family pic!

It's a whole new world now that he's walking everywhere.  He loved being out of the stroller at the zoo and trying to keep up with Graham.

We stopped for lunch on our way home.

And then time for another candle in his ice cream!

We all took naps, watched football, played with some new toys, and then went outside to grill burgers.

I love that he can play outside now without crawling all over.  He LOVED it!!

A pic with my sweet boys right before bedtime!

And we're done!

It's Time for a Birthday Party!

On Sunday we had Graham and Bennett's birthday party!  We had it at Wonderwild again, the same place as Graham's last year.  It's just so fun and easy!  My boys had a blast playing with their friends, eating pizza, and having cupcakes!  We are thankful for everybody that came to celebrate with us!

Ready to go!
Trent got the boys up from naps, changed, and brought them to the party!

I got there earlier to get everything set up.

 Time to play!

Graham and Grace loved the big pillow trampoline in the middle of the floor!

 Sliding together!

 My boys on the slide!

He loved climbing up here and sliding down!
I could hear Graham squealing and laughing the whole time.  He had so much fun!

Sweet Bennett loved exploring and playing too!

He wanted to jump with the big kids!

Camille, Graham, and Grace ready to eat!

 Time to sing to Graham!

He sang along with everybody - it was so cute!

And now Bennett's turn!  He wasn't so sure about it!

 There's my smiley boy!

Sweet Madison and Bennett - just 4 days apart!
Ummm my child is a giant!

 And a family pic!
I can't believe we have a 3 year old and an (almost) 1 year old.
I'm beyond thankful for all 3 of my boys!

We went home to open presents.
Bennett just wanted to walk around with his juice box!

A loud truck so he was interested! :)

And a family walk to end a very busy but very fun weekend!
Graham loved riding his new scooter!
