21 Months

Wow...so close to 2!  What a fun age this is!

Stats: Thankfully we haven't been to the dr. since his 18 month check-up so I don't know exact.  I would guess he's about 29 or 30 lbs and at least 34 inches tall.  He's a chunk!  He has 12 teeth, with 2 more SLOWLY making their way in.  They've given us fits and have been worse than any of his other ones!

Milestones: Graham is talking up a storm!  Just in the last week or two everything is in two and three word phrases.  And I think he's pretty clear and can understand him easily, and other people are starting to be able to more and more.  He is putting a name with everything.  For example: mama's shoes, Grace's house, dada's car, love you mama, thank you nana, red truck - just to name a few.  I love having conversations with him all day long!  Until he gets stuck on the same thing and repeats it over and over! :)  He is also learning how to take his clothes off, which is all fun and good, until he starts to take his diaper off as well!  We are working on counting and colors - he knows lots of colors, just doesn't always get them right!  As for counting, I can start off with one, and he'll say two and then run off and hide because he thinks we're playing hide and seek! :)

Personality: Graham is the happiest, most easy going little boy!  He loves to be on the go and with friends all of the time!  He just loves life and has a joy that is contagious.  We talk and laugh together all day long!  He loves to make other people laugh, and he often cracks himself up!  Lately he has been a very good listener and very obedient.  We definitely have a few time outs here and there, but for the most part he is easy to correct.  Occasionally he will throw himself on the ground while fake crying, but I just ignore him and walk away, and that usually stops it pretty quickly!  In the last few weeks, Graham has been clingier to me and shown some separation anxiety.  He's cried some when dropping off at church, at the gym, at nap, and at night.  It's so hard seeing him cry, but the workers at church always tell me that as soon as I walk away, he stops - that stinker!  He just likes to put on a show!

Sleep: Naps have been a battle for the past few weeks.  But I think we're finally getting through the worst of it.  Right now he'll go to sleep pretty easily in his crib about 1:00, sleep for about an hour before screaming and crying, and then he'll sleep for about 2 more hours on me.  I'm able to get done what I need to in the first hour, and then it's nice because I have to sit and rest while he's napping with me!  At night he sleeps from about 8:30-6:30.  He's ready to go as soon as he wakes up in the morning!

Clothes: Graham wears 2T in everything.  The shorts a little big, but he needs the length in the shirts.  He wears a size 7 shoes, and a size 4 diaper, 5 at night.

Food: Graham loves bananas, goldfish, grilled cheese, cinnamon rolls, black beans, corn, sweet potatoes, cheese quesadillas, mac n cheese, muffins, pudding, cookies, applesauce, french fries, yogurt, cheese, ritz crackers, ice cream, and turkey.  I can't get him to eat many fruits or veggies so he still gets pouches about twice a day!  Some days he'll hardly eat anything and others I can't seem to fill him up!

Likes: playing hide-n-seek (he's actually really good at it!), being outside, playing with friends, playdoh, being rough with Dada, his cousins, water/swimming/bath, all things truck, Elmo and Big Bird, watching sports with Trent on TV, dancing and singing - favorites are Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes, If You're Happy and You Know It, Wheels on the Bus

Dislikes: being told no, sharing toys - a work in progress!  Grace was over last week, he yanked a toy from her, and said thank you!

Looking forward to: I'm excited about these next couple of months with just me and Graham before he starts MDO and baby brother comes.  I LOVE our days together, and we just have so much fun!  I know I need to soak it up and enjoy having him as an only child.

Another haircut to tame the curls!

He loves going for walks in his car!

I think this picture just about sums it up!
Love you, Graham!

23 Weeks

How far along: 23 weeks
Size of baby: the size of a papaya, about 8 inches long and weighs just over 1 pound
Maternity clothes: absolutely!  They're so comfy and stretchy!
Gender: It's a BOY!!!  We have it narrowed down to a couple of names, but we haven't decided on one for sure yet!
Movement: A lot!  He is a mover, just like Graham always was.
Sleep: I'm sleeping pretty good right now!  Mostly sleeping through the night.  I'm about to start using my huge body pillow, but I'm trying to hold out as long as I can!
What I miss: bending over easily and picking up Graham without a second thought, not getting winded so easily, working out like I had been - now I'm happy with just a little bit of cardio and a lot of walking on the treadmill
Cravings: anything and everything!  I've been super hungry lately.  I MUST have something sweet and chocolate every single day! :)
Symptoms: growing and stretching pains but overall feeling really good!  Trying to enjoy this 2nd trimester energy while I can!
Best Moment of the Week: I had a great check-up at the Dr. yesterday and heard Baby's heartbeat.  Always such a sweet sound!
Looking forward to: Trent and I are going on vacation next week for our anniversary!  It will be so nice to get away, relax, and have uninterrupted time together!  We will definitely miss Graham a ton though! :)

Memorial Day Weekend

I love Memorial Day weekend because it marks the start of summer!  And of course we always love having Trent home an extra day!  We are thankful for all of the men and women who have served our country and fought for our freedoms.

Trent came home at lunch on Friday, and Graham enjoyed his new picnic table with lunch outside!

And then it was naptime for all of us! :)

That evening we picked up pizza, played outside more, and enjoyed a fire!  So relaxing!

Trent was trying to get a few work things done on Saturday morning so he handed Graham a pen to "play" with.  Well of course he immediately took the top off and wrote on his face and arms!  Lesson learned by Trent! :)

Stretching with Daddy after his run!

G and I went to Target to get some new outdoor accessories!

That evening some of our good friends came over to grill out and play in the backyard!

The only pic I got...G chillin with Trent and Glenn!

 Mowing on Sunday afternoon!

Oh that face!  Proudly showing off his new cheese face! :)

On Monday morning, Trent and Graham washed my car!  Yes, we knew it was about to rain a ton, but it was that dirty that we didn't care!

After that, it was cloudy and just starting to rain so our neighborhood pool party was canceled.  We went to Cyclone Anaya's and ate yummy Mexican food on the covered patio instead!

We finished the weekend off with pancakes for dinner!  One of my favorites!
It was so nice having so much family time this weekend with not much to do.

And just for fun, a few pics from Tuesday...

 Not napping...

And fun with stickers!

Happy Wednesday!

Weekend Wrap-up

What a fun weekend with lots of good family time and beautiful weather!  Trent was able to come home a little early on Friday afternoon, about 4:30, and took Graham to the park to play.  After that we had our usual Friday night pizza date!

 My boys!

And then G was rewarded with his ice cream for napping in his bed! :)

On Saturday morning Trent made pancakes and we relaxed and played for awhile before heading our separate ways.  I had a hair appointment and a few errands to run while the boys went to Academy, Toys R Us, and to the field to play!

G ready to help with the pancakes, tongs in hand!

 Inspecting them!

After naps that afternoon, we played outside the rest of the day and grilled out!

G showing off his new shirt, croakies, and shovel that Trent got him!

His first time to have a popsicle...

He really just carried it around for about 30 minutes until it started dripping on him, and he didn't like that!

We also got out our inflatable pool and let G play...he LOVED it!  There are no pictures, however, because we decided he didn't need a swimsuit! :)

Sunday morning was Sunday school, church, and lunch at Schlotzkys, followed by naps for all!

Finishing his nap on me...love the cuddles!

We had another relaxing afternoon playing outside and going for a walk.  I enjoyed dinner out last night with some of my best friends - always a good time to catch up without kids! :)

Happy Monday!

A Little Bit of Everything

Happy Friday!  I started this post on Tuesday as a Weekend Wrap-up, and I'm just now getting around to finishing it so I decided to just do a catch up post instead!  I usually blog during nap time, but Graham is going through major separation anxiety and refused to nap in his crib this week.  After lots of crying it out, laying in his room with him, losing my patience, and LOTS of prayer, he is back to napping in his bed today!  It's so nice actually being able to get a few things done! :)

Somebody figured out how to unlock my phone and take selfies...

 Oh that face!

G loves to go to HEB!

We've enjoyed lots of play time outside lately!

 Coloring a picture for Daddy!

 More selfies...

Cookie break one afternoon while we were out running errands!

Waiting at the dr. last Friday to find out if Baby A #2 is a boy or girl...

 So excited!

 Another boy!!

Right after the dr, Graham and I drove 5 hours to Tom Bean for my cousin's wedding!  We were excited about a fun weekend with my family!  G did great on the drive, despite only sleeping the first 30 minutes.  We weren't even out of the Houston suburbs when he woke up!  He had a blast exploring and playing at my aunt and uncle's house with all of the dogs when we got there!  My mom and I enjoyed a nice dinner out with Graham at Cracker Barrel before crashing at Grandma's on Friday night.

Fishing with Bop on Saturday morning!

He LOVED the tractor!!  My dad would pull up by the back porch to see if he wanted to get off, but he just kept pointing back out into the yard and saying more!

On the way to the wedding on Saturday afternoon - my frat boy!  He will only wear his sunglasses like that because it's how Daddy does it! :)

The cousins!!  We surprisingly made it through the wedding with no major outburst, only Graham saying Kaki's name one time!  Not too bad!

These 3 lived on the dance floor!

G had a few bites of my chocolate cake, and then had some more with Nana!  I think he likes it! :)

My cute date!

We all enjoyed hanging out at my aunt and uncle's that night and staying up way too late!  Dad and Uncle Scott cooked all of us a Mother's Day breakfast on Sunday morning before everyone headed home!

Sweet Kaki!

A cookie with Aunt Katie, why not?!

A lunch break on our drive home.  Once again, he was a great traveler!

He read lots of books...

And we sang LOTS of songs! :)

I came home to a clean house, flowers, balloons, and a new necklace for Mother's Day!  I enjoyed a nice, casual dinner out with my boys that evening at Ruggles Green!

At the cupcake place after dinner! :)

Where's Graham?!  He loves it when I take the comforter off to change the sheets!

And his new trick - climbing up on our bed - awesome.

One of his naptimes on my lap this week...

Anxiously waiting for cookies to be ready!

 Exploring in the front yard

Showing off his new Baylor outfit!

Picnic lunch with Grace and friends!

And currently....
VICTORY!!
Happy Friday to me!
AND we may be going to get ice cream after nap time because I'm not against bribing...
