Adventures in Eating

Last night we had spaghetti for dinner, and I knew it was going to be messy so I went ahead and took off Graham's shirt.  I then figured he could try using a spoon for the first time too since he was already going to be a mess.  He LOVED it!  He ate for a good 45 minutes and was working so hard!  Needless to say, he went straight into the bathtub after dinner!

Oh how I love this face!

Spaghetti and applesauce were everywhere!

Weekend Wrap-up

We were excited about a fun weekend at home!

So excited to find his elf on Friday morning!

And he had a run-in with the ottoman!

Last year we started a tradition with some of our best friends to do a fancy Christmas dinner.  We are all like family to each other in Houston, as all of our families live out of town.  I am so thankful for these friends!  Everybody came over on Friday for dinner and presents.  We missed the Valentine's this year!

Summers, Crystal, Jennifer, and me

The girls - June and Ella

The kids all exchanged presents and loved playing with the wrapping paper!

Miss June just wanted to eat it!

An attempt at a group shot!

My boys!

G and me!

On Saturday morning I ran to Academy and Toys R Us all by myself at 8am.  I needed to finish up a few last gifts, and I beat all of the crowds!

G and Trent stayed home and played!

And then we went to a 3 year old birthday party to celebrate Tate and Rhodes!
It was at a super fun indoor play place - we will definitely be going back!

My big boy sitting at the table eating pizza...when did he get so big?!

On Saturday evening we had our friends Adam and Danielle over to eat Mexican food and catch up.  Graham loved being the center of attention, and he put on a show for them!

Looking at the train display at church on Sunday.

He is fascinated with them!

Graham and Ella, such sweet friends!

The 3 of us!

We came home after church and enjoyed a quick lunch with Mimi and Grandpa as they were driving through town to Galveston to take a cruise for the week!

Play time before naps!

And a few extra cuddles after naps!

That evening we made Christmas cookies!  G was so excited to help!

Such a good helper!

I had to keep a close eye on him because he kept trying to put a whole wad of dough in his mouth - he knows what's good! :)

He was so proud of himself, and we all enjoyed the yummy cookies! :)

How is it already Wednesday again?!  Hope you're enjoying this special time of year and slowing down to take it all in!

Playgroup Fun

We hosted our playgroup on Thursday for some Christmas fun!  I am so thankful for this sweet group of friends, and we can't believe it's been 11 months since our first playgroup!  It has been so much fun watching the kids grow and start to play together.  What a fun group it is!  We had 7 kids between the ages of 12-17 months so needless to say it was crazy! :)

Christmas shaped grilled cheese for the kiddos!

 Candy canes!

Sweet girls Ruth and Libby eating lunch!

 Graham and Nora!

And our hilarious attempts at a group shot...

WE HAVE A WINNER!!
Libby, Nora, Anna, Pierce, Graham, Graham, and Ruth

We were even brave enough to make reindeer with their feet and hands!
Although Trent had to ask what exactly this was supposed to be!

And we did a fun book exchange!

Opening books!

What a fun day with fun friends!

15 Month Appt and Santa Round 2

We had Graham's 15 month appointment on Monday.  He screamed all through the measurements and every time a nurse or the Dr. walked in the door.  Fun.  He also did the "all done" sign and pointed to the door when they each walked in - pretty funny!

Stats:
Weight 24 lb. 15 oz. 78%
Height 32 1/4 in. 83%
Head: 19 1/4 94%

Big boy! :)  Dr. P was so glad to hear that Graham finally decided to start eating!  We got a clean bill of health and 3 shots...which Graham let the whole office know how he felt about that!  I'm so thankful for a healthy, growing baby boy!  Well, I guess he's a toddler now - crazy!

He collapsed on the floor when I told him it was time to go to the Dr. - gotta love the limp noodle while trying to carry them!

 Waiting and playing!

Doing some reading before seeing the Dr!

On Wednesday morning we met Stephanie and Grace at Bass Pro to see Santa!  We had heard good things about him and that they gave you a free picture!

Worn out before we even got there!

Grace was up first.  And she screamed!  She was so excited to see him from afar, waving and saying hi, but then she lost it when she actually had to sit in his lap!

G was up next, and he did about the same as the first time.  Clingy and unsure but no crying!

Sweet boy loved looking at the fish!  This is my new favorite pic! :)

Sweet friends playing at Grace's house afterwards!

And for another Santa pic...

Aren't my parents so cute?!  This was taken at my dad's work party.  My dad said he asked for a win in the Fiesta Bowl!

HO HO HO!!
