Life Lately

How is it already the last week of July?!?  We've been busy these last few weeks - lots of pics to catch up!

Riding in the big basket at HEB - he wasn't feeling great and was not being cooperative - this lasted for half the trip, and then he insisted I carry him the rest of the way.  Needless to say, we were both worn out by the time we got home!

Ahhhh peacefully sleeping after a long morning.

 Playing with Grace!

Play time on the couch one morning!  Typical.

He chose his outfit this day...

Sweet friends over to play and eat lunch!  All of the mommas used to work together at Second.

Library time one evening!  The kids corner was nice and quiet.  And then Graham got there.

I asked him to stand up and say cheese, and this is what he did!

 Naptime cuddles!

Out to dinner with the girls for Summers' birthday dinner!

Nana and Bop came in for the weekend of Bennett's shower so we went to the Downtown Aquarium on Friday!  We had a great time riding the carousel, train, petting sting rays, and watching the fish while eating lunch!

 He was ready to go!

 Carousel ride with Bop!

 Waiting for the choo choo!

Looking at sharks in the tank around us while riding the train.  This was really cool!

Petting and feeding the sting rays - no thank you!

Time for lunch!  Notice who is wearing the kids shark hat!

 Mom, G, and me!

And one last carousel ride with Nana!

 Tickle fest on the couch!

Progress in G's big boy room!

Trent got down to get a ball out from under the couch, and this happened - G climbed on his head and snatched the remote!

Playing with his new puzzle from Aunt Katie!  He loves it!

Family time on the couch on Sunday morning before Trent left on a work trip.  LOVE LOVE LOVE my boys!!

Sitting in his new big boy chair at the table!

Monday evening after a LONG afternoon of no napping after VBS.  We were both exhausted and ready for bed!

Ahhh thankful for a nap on Tuesday!  It was tricky getting home from VBS about 12:45 without him falling asleep in the car!

I had a babysitter come late on Tuesday afternoon while I had a dr. appt.  It went super fast, and I had extra time so I enjoyed some reading and coffee at B&N for a bit!

Ready for VBS on Wednesday morning!  He insists on carrying his own bag!  And we were extra thankful this morning that Trent was back from his trip! :)

Fun at VBS!  He learned so much this week!  I taught kindergarten, and they wore me out!!

G was in class with Nora and Ms. Ginger everyday and had so much fun!

LOVED working with these sweet friends!  What an awesome job our church does!

 Worn out...

 Pizza with my boys tonight!

And then some fro yo!  I think he likes it! :)

Have a great weekend!

A Shower for Baby Bennett

I was so blessed with a wonderful shower on Saturday by my sweet friends and sister-in-law.  It was such a fun time celebrating the impending arrival of our baby boy!  Getting lots of new baby things made it very real about how close we are to meeting him!

I only have a few pics from my phone - I can't wait to see all that my friend Stephanie took!

The super cute set up at a dessert place right by our house!

 The amazing hostesses!!
Lana, Jennifer, Leah, me, Crystal, Katie, Stephanie, Joanna, and Summers - each of these girls is so special to me!

 Leah and Lana!

 Summers and Jennifer

 Joanna and Stephanie
These are my besties whom I will be calling a lot about juggling and adjusting to 2 kiddos - they keep it real and are handling it beautifully!

My sweet SIL and mom!  We can't wait to add another crazy boy to our Cox crew!

I was so thankful for all the friends that came and celebrated a special day with us!  We got our double stroller from all 4 grandparents - such a great gift!

And sweet Aunt Katie had a big brother present for G after the shower!!

Port Aransas 2014

Another awesome Cox family vacay in the books!  We had a great week in Port A - playing in the sand, jumping waves, going to the aquarium, being crazy with the cousins, playing putt-putt and just hanging out!

G and I headed down on Tuesday afternoon - ready for a road trip!

After he slept for all of 25 minutes, I decided we needed snack so chocolate milkshakes it was! :)

Finally on the ferry after a long wait and ready to be at the beach house!

Enjoying a yummy dinner on the water that night with Nana and Bop!

Happy boy with so many toys at the beach on Wednesday morning!

He basically did this the WHOLE time - put sand from the digger into the dump truck - he's a little obsessed!

Resting up that afternoon before the cousins got there!

We went back to the beach every afternoon after nap time - it was such a nice schedule!

And Trent flew in that evening, and we were so glad everybody was there so our vacation could officially start!

 Thursday morning breakfast!

Settling down before nap time - LOTS of books were read this week!

Practicing his sic 'em bears on the beach!

We all got dressed up that evening and attempted family pictures!  Here's a sneak peek!

 Waiting patiently...

 Popsicles on the back porch!

I mean, could he be anymore relaxed?!

Early Friday morning the boys headed out on a fishing trip, and we loaded up the kids and went to the aquarium.  It worked out great because it was a cloudy and rainy day.

LOTS of cousin hugs were given over the course of the week!  It is so sweet and fun to watch them play and love on each other!

My boy and me waiting for the dolphin show to start!

Our crew excited about the bird show!

We got home for lunch and naps, and then it finally cleared off so we headed to the beach!

All of the boys loved playing football!

We enjoyed some yummy seafood at Snoopy's that night!

And ice cream from Scoopy's for dessert!

And then it was time for putt-putt....

G LOVED it!  He sprinted all over the course, occasionally hitting his ball, mostly carrying it, trying to keep up with Caden, shaking flags, picking up other people's ball...

And then we got to the 18th hole - Graham immediately knew something was different and wouldn't put his ball in.  So he waited on the rest of the group, and after everyone was finished, Trent had to pry his ball away from him.  He was screaming and crying and yelling, "Graham's ball!"  Poor thing just didn't understand!  He ran to other holes and was frantically looking for his ball still screaming and crying!  It was both hysterical and so pitiful at the same time!  I'm not sure we'll be playing putt-putt again anytime soon!

All calmed down before bedtime stories with Nana!

My boys relaxing on our last day at the beach!

Snack time for the cousins - always!

 Running football routes!

 Doing yoga!

And me getting some sweet cuddles!

 Lots of digging...

And our only family pic on the beach all week!  It'll have to do, even if G's eyes are closed!

A sleepy bunch on the couch that night.

And having one last piece of Nana's yummy chocolate cake!

We loaded up on Sunday morning and headed home.

 On the ferry!

And he took a good 2 hour nap!

We stopped for lunch at Firehouse Subs where Graham got this hat.  So he played peek a boo the rest of the way home!

Thanks Nana and Bop for a wonderful week at the beach with lots of good memories!  We can't wait until next year!
