8 Months

Slow down time!  How is my baby 8 months old?!  He is looking and acting so big lately, and it makes me both happy and sad!  What a great month for Graham!  He is changing and learning every day!

*Disclaimer: I was trying to take these pics and keep Graham still by myself...you can see how successful I was! :)

Stats: Thankfully we haven't been to the doctor since G's 6 month appointment so I have no idea how much he weighs or how long he is!  I'm guessing around 20 pounds.  He is looking so long and thick!

Milestones: Graham is crawling all over the place, and he is FAST!  If he sees something he wants, he is on a mission and has no problem getting there quickly!  He pulls up on EVERYTHING and has gotten much sturdier and stronger this month.  He learned to wave about 2 weeks ago, and it is the sweetest thing!  Although his favorite things to wave at are inanimate objects, such as the ceiling fan! :)  Just this past week he stood on his own for about 3 or 4 seconds a couple of different times.  His balance is getting much better, and he still loves to walk by holding our fingers, although, he barely has to hang on now.

Behavior: Graham's sweet personality is starting to show more and more.  He is Mr. Social...loves to play with friends, talk to other babies on the swings at the park or in the grocery store.  He is babbling nonstop most days.  I love our conversations that we have! :)

He was lunging at me, and I caught this pic! :)

Sleep: We are still on the same sleep schedule at night, which I'm loving!  He usually goes down about 8:00 pm, eats about 5:30 or 6 and goes right back to sleep until about 8 or 8:30.  Some days naps are great, but others they are a struggle.  He usually takes a morning nap about 10 or 10:30, and an afternoon nap about 2 or 2:30.  He will usually sleep anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and a half, but he still has the occasional 30 minute nap.  This month he has dropped the evening catnap completely.

I tried to wedge him in the corner where he couldn't get away, and you can see how he felt about that! :)

Clothes: He is wearing 6-12 month and 9 month in everything, and he is still in size 3 diapers.

Food: We are on the same feeding schedule as last month, and it is working really well for Graham.  He eats about 6:00, 9:30, 1:00, 4:30, and 7:30.  Some bottles are 5 oz and some are 6 oz.  Graham still loves his baby food, and he is still eating the same fruits and veggies.

Likes: crawling, swimming, pulling up, playing with friends, making loud noises with toys, music, going on walks, reading books, talking, playing peekaboo, bath time, eating, pacifiers, going back and forth on the different floor surfaces in our house - mainly from the wood to tile

Dislikes: being confined, car trips (what happened to our good traveler?!  Now he will only sleep about 30 or 45 minutes!), having his face wiped after eating or his nose wiped

Favorite Moment: We had so much fun on our vacation to Destin.  We made so many fun memories and had good quality family time, which always makes me happy!

Most Challenging: I would definitely say Graham's mobility is still the most challenging.  He is all over the place, and it wears me out! :)

Looking forward to: Celebrating Mother's Day on Sunday with my boys! :)

Oh his smile just melts me!  Love you so much, Graham!  Happy 8 months!
