Weekend Wrap-up

Happy Sunday!  Is Thanksgiving really this week?!  We had a great weekend with a quick trip to Waco to cheer for the Bears!

On Friday I made my first trip back to the gym since Bennett.  Both boys did great in the nursery, and it felt great to get a good work out in!

 Hanging out at home!

G had his first peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner.  I hadn't purposefully not given him one, I just never thought about it!  But he LOVED it and so far has eaten it 3 more times since Friday night...

 Boy time on the couch!

G giving Daddy a check up!

On Saturday morning Trent and Graham ran a few errands while I took Bennett with me to get some new jeans.  And then we loaded up and headed to Waco after lunch.  We weren't sure how the weather was going to affect the game, but we were willing to risk it!  Thankfully we picked Aunt Kelsey up in College Station, and she kept the boys for us at my parents' house.  It worked out great, and Trent and I enjoyed a kid-free game in the pouring down rain.

Mom and I blacked out and ready to brave the rain!

All smiles in the first half - it only sprinkled off and on.  And then the downpour started at halftime!

We came home this afternoon, did laundry, picked up the house, made a quick trip to HEB, and then...
put up our Christmas tree!!!

G LOVED the little tree in his room!

 Putting on the top!
We are going to wait and decorate it next weekend.

Happy Bennett just enjoyed looking at all of the lights on the tree!

Lining up all of his nativity people!
I can already tell how special this Christmas is going to be with Graham at this age.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Zoo Lights

We had a fun night at Zoo Lights!  All of the Christmas lights were gorgeous, the hot chocolate was yummy, and the Christmas music was fun to listen to!  It was a great way to start the holiday season!

We met Trent for dinner before we went.
G was excited!
 My boys!

 Looking at the choo choos!

Sweet Bennett was a trooper!  He wanted to be out of his carseat so he could see all of the lights too!

 Riding the carousel!

 My big boy!

Love them!  What a fun family memory!

Bennett at 2 Months Old

Part of me wants to say I can't believe it's been two months, but really I can believe it!  We have gotten into a good groove, and I'm figuring out my days with both boys.  I can't imagine life now without our sweet Bennett!  It has been so much fun this month seeing him "wake up"!

 "What?!  2 months already?!"
Stats: Weight 13 lbs 15 oz 93%
Length 24 in 97%
Head 16 3/4 in >99%
Well it's pretty obvious we have a big boy on our hands!  What can I say - he likes to eat!  Bennett had a perfect check up at the dr last week, and he only screamed for about 5 seconds when he got his shots.

Eating: Bennett eats 4-5 oz 8 times a day.  Last week we had 3 good nights in a row where he slept for a stretch of 5 hours, but then he got a cold and it's back to 3ish.  Usually he eats about 2am, 5am, 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm, 7:30pm, and 10pm.  Selfishly I'm so ready for him to consistently go for about 5-6 hours at night because I'm exhausted!  I know the day will come soon enough that he'll be sleeping through the night.

Personality: Bennett is just too sweet!  Just like Graham was, he's a very calm, chill, easy going baby.  He's as happy as can be most of the time!  The evening hours have even improved lately.  We have really enjoyed seeing his sweet personality come out this month as he's started to smile and "talk" more and more.

Sleeping: Bennett sleeps in his room in the rock n play.  We put him to bed at 7:30.  I'm hoping to move him to his crib soon but not until he's over this cold.  During the days he takes good naps in the mornings while we're out and about, and then takes one or two cat naps in the afternoons and evenings.  He likes to nap in his swing or the nap nanny.  He usually wakes up to eat, stays awake for about an hour, and then naps for about an hour.

Likes: lights, ceiling fans, sleep sack, sound machine, people talking to him, Praise Baby DVDs, diaper changes

Dislikes: baths, stopping at lights or in traffic when we're in the car

Milestones: He's smiling and talking to us!  The past couple of weeks he made us work really hard to get him to smile, but now it is coming a lot more easily and frequently.  His whole face lights up when you get really close and start talking to him!  He's also learning to find his voice, and he always has the proudest look on his face after he makes a good sound.  It's so cute!  Bennett is holding his head up really well.  We don't do tummy time as much as we should, but he gets plenty of practice other ways and is doing great.

Clothes: I had to pack away newborn and 0-3 month clothes last week.  3 months fits perfectly!  He mostly wears onesies, pants, and pajamas.  He has trouble keeping shirts down over his belly!  Bennett is currently wearing size 1 diapers just until I run out, and then he'll be switching to size 2.

Favorite moments: Of course having him begin to interact with us has been awesome!  I love when he recognizes me as I walk up to him or by him in a room.  Also whenever Graham is around, Bennett follows him with his eyes as best as he can.  Graham is starting to pay a little more attention to him, but he has yet to hold him!

Looking forward to: celebrating the holidays!

 Chubbers!

Couch time with Daddy before bed!

And proof that he's not always happy! :)

Oh sweet Bennett, we love you and are so thankful that you're a healthy, happy, growing boy!

Life Lately

I can't believe Thanksgiving is already next week!  We have been having lots of fun and trying to stay warm.  I'm loving this cold weather, especially after being pregnant through the summer heat.

Playing at toddler time at the library.  He always has so much fun singing, listening to the stories, playing, and checking out books!

And Bennett slept through the whole thing, like a good little brother!

Giving his trucks a bath!

My little chubster!  He had trouble keeping his 3 month shirt down over his belly! :)

B had a rough night with eating and sleeping Friday night.  I thought it was reflux so we went to the dr. on Saturday morning.  He was just really congested so it was upsetting his tummy and giving him issues drinking his bottle.  Thankfully he had a much better day on Saturday.

After I took Bennett to the dr, Graham and I went to Anna's 2nd birthday party!  He had fun playing with lots of friends and eating pizza!

That afternoon I enjoyed a few hours by myself getting my hair done and going to Target!  Just what I needed!

After church on Sunday morning, we all took a nap and then got things marked off our to do list!

Lots of smiles from this one!

Happy boy!  He helped me clean out both boys' drawers and get clothes packed away.

Trent and G made pancakes for dinner!  Graham's favorite! :)

Snuggles this morning with my boys!  I couldn't quite catch Graham giving him a kiss!

Playing at the mall with Grace!

And eating lunch!  These 2 have so much fun together!

 Afternoon play time!

Happy Monday!
