Graham Meets Santa

So a couple of weeks ago, Graham and I loaded up and headed to Georgetown to see the cousins!  The reason for our trip was to take the cousins to see Santa!  We also got to see Justin and Katie's gorgeous new house, see Nana who had driven in from Waco, and attend Caden's Christmas program at school!  We packed a lot into our quick trip!

Ree Ree and Kaki waiting to see Caden sing!

Graham wasn't interested...he just slept the whole time!

 Justin and Caden...sweet boys!

Sweet cousins!  Aren't they so cute?!

On Wednesday morning, we loaded up in the Tahoe and headed to the Domain to meet Santa.  While we waited we rode the fun train (see Katie's blog for pics), had lunch at Gloria's, and enjoyed the beautiful weather!

Then it was time...

Graham was resting up for the big guy!

Brother and sister were up first...you can tell how much Kaki loved Santa! :)

And then the cousins...Kaki still wasn't a fan!

And then a solo shot for Graham...he could've cared less! :)

I'm afraid that next year Graham will have the same reaction as Kaki.  We had a great time with lots of laughs and fun memories!  Thanks Katie and Justin for hosting us! :)

Weekend Wrap-Up

Happy Wednesday!  Yes, I know I'm doing my weekend wrap-up a couple of days late, but that's because we extended our weekend into Tuesday!!  What a fun weekend we had!

But let me back-up and start with our Christmas party on Friday night.  We had our best friends over for a fancy Christmas feast and white elephant gift exchange!  It was so much fun, and we had such a great time visiting, celebrating the Christmas season, watching the kids play, and laughing at funny presents!

Graham was excited about exchanging gifts!

Colton and Ella opening their goodies!

The girls!  Me, Sara, Summers, Crystal, Jennifer, and Ella!

On Saturday we had a lazy day around the house just relaxing and getting a few things done and resting up for Graham's big debut on Saturday evening!!

We were honored and humbled to be asked to play Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus for our church's Christmas program.  We were supposed to do a Saturday afternoon and Saturday night show, but a transformer blew right before the afternoon show so they had to cancel it.  We were nervous as to how Graham would do for the late show because we were supposed to go on about 30 minutes after his bedtime.  He was wide awake even though we tried to feed him and rock him to sleep in the nursery!  Graham was a little fussy when we first started down the aisle in the worship center and got on stage, but then he calmed down and did great!  What a fun memory for our family!

Playing in the nursery before his big stage debut!

 Ready to go on stage!

A mom I know from school was in the audience and took these pictures...I'm so glad to have them!

And then Sunday morning we were up bright and early for our next big adventure....ROAD TRIP...first stop was in Waco, and then Trent and I drove on to Dallas.  Trent is a huge Steelers fan; we even went to Pittsburgh 2 years ago to watch them play.  A couple of months ago we realized they would be playing the Cowboys, and there was no way we were missing it!  So Nana and Bop so graciously agreed (we didn't have to do much bribing!) to watch Graham for the day.  Trent and I left Waco about noon and hit the road north, on crazy I-35...ugh, an easy way to get your blood pressure up.  It was my first time to the new Cowboys Stadium...it was awesome!  The weather was beautiful, and they had the roof and the endzone windows open for the game.  The only downfall to our day was that the Steelers lost in overtime.  It was a great game, though!

Family pic before we left Waco!

 Outside the stadium

There were TONS of Steelers fans there!

So Trent headed home to Houston early Monday morning to go out of town on a work trip....so Graham and I stayed in Waco until Tuesday!  We had a fun day on Monday with Nana having lunch at Cafe Cappuccino, visiting Bop at school, going to the Baylor bookstore, walking on campus, eating in the SUB, and then finishing up Christmas shopping!!

 Hanging out on campus!

Looking so cute in one of his many Christmas outfits!

Reading a Christmas book with Daddy when we got home yesterday!

Graham's favorite thing to do...stand and bounce!

We have a short and busy couple of days before we are on the road again for our Christmas travels!

Weekend Wrap-up

Happy Monday!  We are loving this cool weather and that it finally feels like December!  We had a great weekend at home...it was nice to get things done around the house and spend time just the 3 of us in this busy season!

We kicked off the weekend with our Sunday School Christmas party on Friday night!  We had some yummy catered Italian food and exchanged white elephant gifts.  It was a good time catching up with friends and enjoying good fellowship!

Crystal, Sara, Summers, and me...love them!

Graham had fun with his babysitters on Friday night!  Trent and I were so excited about a night out while our good friends Leah and Joe watched Graham for us.  He was great for them, and we got a glowing report! :)

Can't you tell how much fun he was having?!

We had a relaxing Saturday morning at home, and Graham got to try out a new toy!  He definitely still needs to grow into it a lot, but he loved it!  We had to stuff towels around him to keep him from hitting his chin on the bars.

He loved it when he figured out how to push off with his feet and start bouncing!

That afternoon I went and got my hair done and ran a few errands while Graham and Trent helped me out with a little bit of Christmas shopping.  It was a very productive day for all of us!

Graham wore his favorite Christmas outfit to church on Sunday morning!

Trent said this is his first and last jon-jon! :)

On Sunday evening we met up with our good friends Chris, Summers, and Colton to eat dinner and look at Christmas lights!

 My boys!!

Chris and Trent with Colton and Graham!

I love this pic of the 3 of us with the beautiful lights in the background!

We are looking forward to a fun and busy week finishing up Christmas shopping and going to the zoo on Wednesday with friends!  Stay warm everybody!

House pics - Living areas

I can't believe I'm just now getting around to posting pictures of our new house!  I will break it into two posts...starting with the living area today.  We are absolutely loving being here and have felt so settled from the very beginning.  We love our neighborhood and our street.  Everybody is so nice and social!

We moved in on September 28.  Graham was 4 weeks old.  The timing worked out great because I was feeling a little better and could help more, and Graham was a little easier to manage than if we had moved when he was just a couple of weeks old.  My mom was here for 6 days helping finish packing at the townhouse, helping with Graham, unpacking at the new house, etc.  I can't tell you how helpful it was having an extra set of hands!  We so appreciated the help!

 Moving day!!
