9 Months

Oh my word, how is this possible?!  What a joy and blessing these past 9 months have been.  Graham keeps us laughing ALL of the time with his hilarious personality.  He is my little buddy...we have so much fun every day - running errands, going to the park, playing with friends, hanging out at home - whatever we do, we have a blast!  We just love him so much!

Stats: Graham had a PERFECT 9 month check-up today!  The Dr. and nurses couldn't believe his curly hair!
Weight: 19 lbs. 10 oz - 50%
Length: 29 1/2 in - 90%
Head: 86% - don't remember the exact measurement!

Milestones: Still crawling everywhere, pulling up on anything and everything, got his 3rd tooth last week - the top left, standing for about 6 seconds at a time without holding onto anything.  He responds to certain words when we say them - wave, clap, bounce, shake (a toy).  Graham is starting to say Dada all of the time, along with lots of other babbling.

Behavior: He is very easy going and laid-back, but extremely busy at the same time.  Graham is still VERY social, talking to and smiling at anybody who will pay attention to him!

Sleep: Graham is on a great schedule!  He goes to bed about 8:00, and he sleeps until about 6:30 or 7, has a bottle, and goes right back to sleep until about 8:30.  His morning nap is between 10 and 10:30.  He has consistently been sleeping for an hour to an hour and a half!  And then his afternoon nap is between 2 and 2:30, and he sleeps an hour and a half to two and a half hours!!!  His good naps make such a huge difference, for both of us!

Clothes: Graham wears all 6-12 month and 9 month clothes.  He is still in size 3 diapers, both regular and overnight.

Food: We are transitioning to 4 bottles at 6 oz each a day - 6:30, 10:30, 2:30, and 7:45.  He eats fruits and veggies at 9:00, 12:30, and 6:30.  Graham still loves his baby food!  We have tried several different combinations of food this past week, and he mostly loves all of them.  The one thing that he struggles to get down and makes a horrible face is green beans.  It's pretty funny watching him eat them!

Likes: crawling everywhere, pulling up, pacifiers, making loud noises with his toys, bath time, swinging, shrieking, "talking", singing songs - a new favorite is Patty Cake, reading books, ball popper toy, climbing, being outside

Dislikes: being strapped into things, being redirected when going towards something he can't play on, having his face or nose wiped

Favorite Moment: Mother's Day was so special!  My boys spoiled me, and I was just reminded over and over again of the huge blessing it is being Graham's mom.

Most Challenging: We had to start doing a little discipline.  Last week, Graham thought it would be a good idea to try and stand up in his high chair.  And I let him pull up and play with most things, but our TV cabinet is not one of them.  I've had to pick him up a couple of times and redirect him to something else, and he became like a limp noodle in my arms and was crying...SERIOUSLY?!  I didn't think that would start this early!  It is so sad to see his face react when we say no firmly, but we know we've got to stay on top of this and be consistent.

Looking forward to: We have lots of fun things coming up this next month including Cousins Camp, Trent's first Father's Day, and a family reunion!  I'm also so excited about our neighborhood pool being open everyday...I hope to go about 3 or 4 times a week!

 My sweet boy!

 Perfecting his wave!

Ha!  Caught him off balance and falling over, but he regained his balance!

This is such a fun age!  He is exploring and learning so many new things everyday!  I love just sitting back and watching him play.  Oh Graham, we love you so much!

Swim Class

Graham and I just finished taking a Mommy and Me swim class.  I had been looking forward to this for so long, and Graham loved every single minute of it!  I just wanted him to be comfortable in the water before this summer.  He learned so much!  Each week we would sing songs, blow bubbles, go down the slide, go under water, pick up rings from the bottom of the pool, and practice floating on our backs.  I hope to be able to do a couple more months of this class in the fall and then again next spring.  What made it even more fun was having some good friends do it with us!  Stephanie and Grace joined us the first month, and then Ginger and Nora came the next two months too!  Enjoy the pics of my little water baby! :)

First class was a huge success!

Grace learned to love it too! :)

Blurry, but I wanted to include a group pic!

Weekend Wrap-up

What a fun Memorial Day Weekend we had!  We packed a lot of things into our 3 day weekend, and it was a blast!

Friday night we met up with some friends for some yummy Mexican food!  And I don't have one picture to show for it... so sad!

On Saturday morning we were up bright and early to head to Georgetown to celebrate somebody very special - Justin's 31st birthday!!  We didn't have any tricks or surprises up our sleeves this year like we did for his 30th last year, but we just wanted to spend time together and have fun!

My boys slept while I drove...I enjoyed the quiet time!

And yes, there should also be a picture of Trent sleeping, but SOMEBODY went through my pictures and deleted it...not cool!

Graham was so excited to play with his cousins once we got there!  It was so fun seeing him stand at the train table, crawl through toys, laugh at them, and actually interact.  What a fun age to see all of them play together!

Where Caden spent the majority of the weekend...on Uncle Tag's back wanting to "fight"!

Enjoying the toys in the backyard!

Caden and Graham in the pool!

G could've stayed in there all afternoon!

 Cute Kaki and her popsicle!

Bop, Graham, and Kaki singing their favorite...The Hokey Pokey!

We enjoyed a yummy dinner of pizza and champagne, and then the big kids got to play some games once the littles went to bed!

Justin perfecting his bocce ball form...

 Mom and Katie!

On Sunday morning we played outside and made a trip to the park after breakfast!

Kaki was just happy that Graham wasn't pulling her hair at the moment!

Graham and Kaki creating their own way to ride in the wagon!

Love these 3 cuties!

 And especially this one! :)
I tend to get this face all the time...

Swinging of course!

After a yummy enchilada lunch, we loaded up and headed home!
At least Trent was smiling and looking in this pic!

On Sunday evening we enjoyed some patio time, and Trent grilled some delicious burgers!

Graham was patriotic in his flag polo!

Outfit change...and modeling his Port A onesie...who's excited about the beach this summer?!

Grilling burgers!

Graham and I were so glad to have Trent home on Monday!  He worked a lot in the yard - replanting a flower bed, adding mulch, etc.  We made it to our neighborhood pool party, which was a blast!  We are looking so forward to going lots this summer!  After Graham's afternoon nap, we of course ended up on the patio and got the baby pool out.  And then we enjoyed some yummy steaks for dinner!

 Sweet boy!

 He loves the pool!

Hope you all have a great rest of the week!  We've got big plans this next weekend...stay tuned! :)
