Adventures in Eating

Bennett got his first taste of baby food last week!
First up was sweet potatoes.  He wasn't so sure at first, especially about Graham coming at him with the spoon!  But he quickly realized how yummy it was!

I promise G was not hurting him!

Next up was carrots.  And he liked these too!  I'm not sure there's going to be a food that B doesn't like! :)

And again, no babies were hurt while eating! :)

Such a happy boy!

Graham is actually a really good helper.  He wants to feed him every meal, and is very calm and gentle about it.  This is the first thing he has really wanted to do with Bennett, and it's so fun watching him feed him.  And of course Bennett thinks it's great because 1. he loves to eat!  And 2. he loves his brother!

And now he's also had squash, peas, bananas, apples, and peaches and loves it all!

Swim Lessons

Graham just finished up two weeks of swim lessons everyday.  We took the class with Grace, and they had so much fun and learned a ton!  I was way impressed with how much he was able to do after just 2 weeks.  Now he just goes every Monday morning for 30 minutes.

Ready for the first day!

These 2 - they are just the sweetest friends!

Just a little excited!

Waiting for their turn on the step.

Ready for day 2!

Kicking with the barbells.

Learning to float on his back.

Waiting for his class to start on day 3!

Singing the ring song at the end of class!

Finally they got to go down the slide!  It was all he could talk about!

G's biggest fans!

Asking for a blue ring instead of the yellow.  Stinker!

Ready for the last day of class!

He learned to float all by himself!

Sweet kiddos!  They graduated from the Guppy class to the Goldfish class!

Spring Break With Nana and Bop

We were so excited that Nana and Bop wanted to spend a few days of Bop's spring break with us!  We always love when we have visitors in Houston.

First up was the rodeo on Tuesday morning.  We got there bright and early to beat the crowds, and it was great!  We parked, rode the tram, and were ready to see lots of animals.

They had so many farm animals that G loved looking at.

And the calf in this pen was only 9 hours old!

Pony ride!  He loved it!

Looking at the baby chicks.  We got to see some eggs hatch.

Time for the petting zoo - I was not a fan!  These animals were not shy, and they were everywhere!  The llamas were eye level with you and just searching for food.  Bop and G LOVED it!

So excited!

He wanted to brush them, just like at the zoo.

Next we went outside to the kids farm area they had set up.  They got to pick veggies, milk a cow, collect eggs, pump water, see a tractor, and pet a sheep.  It was perfect for little kids!

Then it was time for some carnival rides.  G was tall enough for just a few, and he had a blast!

And of course we had to ride the carousel!

Next up, fair food!  Yummy!  Nana and I had some delicious corn dogs, Bop had a burrito, and Graham had pizza and fries.  Glad we were healthy! :)

And a treat on our way out - warm chocolate chip cookies!

Waiting on the tram with Bop!

G wasn't sure what to think about B's hat!

On Wednesday morning we went to the aquarium downtown to ride some rides, see the fish, and eat some yummy seafood!

On the train to see the sharks!

We had so much fun with Nana and Bop for spring break!
Now if only it would feel like spring outside...
