A Day in the Life

I always enjoy reading other people's day in the life blogs so I thought it would be fun to do my own!
I documented our day yesterday, and it was a very typical day for us.

6:42 - up and at 'em!  I always shower before the boys get up at 7 or else it won't happen!

I get Graham up first at 7, and we put pancakes in the microwave for him and Bennett.

Bennett is ready for some pancakes!

Every morning my SIL Katie and I exchange bitmojis and coffee selfies!

We look good this morning!

7:45 - bar stools are already in the laundry room to keep Bennett from climbing on them

8:30 - start a load of laundry

It was a rain boot kind of day!

8:50 - out the door for school!

9:05 - My first stop after drop off in the mornings!

9:10 - back home to pay some bills, switch out laundry, and keep an eye on this one!

He wanted to try on some of my shoes while I was hanging up clothes!

9:40 - Out the door again for Bennett's 18 month check up at the dr

10:00 - Ready to cheese it up for the dr!

So thankful for our healthy, growing boy!

Off the charts!

10:45 - We leave the dr after just one shot and go across the street to the mall.  I made some returns to Old Navy and got some new make up at Macy's.  I also picked up Chick-Fil-A for my lunch because I  had told the boys we would go to Sonic for lunch after school

11:40 - Waiting the parking lot at Graham's school scarfing down my lunch.

12:00 - School pickup!  And we had a special treat today - Maddie got to come home with us since her mom got stuck at a dr's appointment in the med center.  They were so excited!  We got lunch at sonic, back home to eat, and then Maddie's mom picked her up at 1.

After that I thought about dinner and got it out and ready.
Fancy, I know!  Marinated chicken, mashed potatoes, and green beans.  It's a meal that all of my boys love!

1:30 - Ready for a nap!

2:00 - Both boys are asleep.  I do a quick pick up around the house, and I'm ready to tackle laundry.  I watched Scandal while folding!

All done!

After that I worked on a few things for the spring fling at Graham's school that I'm co-chairing.

4:15 - I wake the boys up and we watch a show and eat snacks!

Cuddles and a smoothie!

5:00 - Stephanie and I had our daily chat on the phone while I watched Bennett read and play in his room.

5:30 - The troops were getting restless so I busted out a Target $1 spot find!  Race track tape that I put down in the hallways.  It kept their attention for all of about 4 minutes...

6:00 - Mr. Trouble starts carrying things out of his trash can into the living room.

Who me?!

6:40 - Daddy's home!  What you can't hear in this picture is the yelling and screaming!

Our favorite part of the day!

7:15 - After dinner we have some play time and fun with the whoopee cushion that the Easter bunny brought Graham!

7:30 - Trent does bath time and I enjoy a minute of peace and quiet on the couch.

Family selfie on the couch during wind down time!  Bennett usually likes to read while Graham plays on his iPad.  Bennet was put to bed at 8:15 and Graham was at 8:45.  Trent and I watched Limitless on our DVR before calling it a night!

9:50 - I washed the last few cups from the day, turned on the alarm, and called it a night!

I'm so thankful for these sweet days with my boys!

Easter Weekend

We had a wonderful Easter weekend at home with lots of good family time.  Trent got home early from work on Thursday and had Friday off.  The weather was beautiful and we spent lots of time outside.

Thursday afternoon started with making sugar cookies!
I love the way Graham is looking at Trent in this picture!

The dough was ready to be cut after bath time.  So Superhero Graham took care of it!

On Friday morning Graham and Trent ran a few errands while Bennett and I went in search of some new shoes and we picked up lunch.

Crazy boy before we left.

The boys "helped" Trent in the yard for about 3 hours!

Taking a break for a picnic lunch

They loved having gloves to wear just like Trent!

Doing some reading before nap time!

That evening we had some friends over that have 2 boys about the same age as ours.  They played outside, we grilled fajitas, and decorated cookies.  It was a fun evening!

B LOVED the icing and cookies!

On Saturday morning the boys went to the park to play while I got a pedicure.  It was so nice to sit and relax and read for an hour!

Saturday happy hour after naps!

We went to dinner on Saturday night with some friends from our neighborhood.

Marianna, Charlie, and Graham!
Marianna and Graham are in class together at school.

The Easter bunny came that night!

Lots of goodies!

Excited to see what the bunny brought!

Sleepy breakfast smiles!

We opened our last resurrection egg.  Graham loved doing this everyday for 12 days.  It was right on his level, and he really learned a lot.  He even guessed that the egg would be empty, just like Jesus' tomb!

Doing a little vacuuming before church!

We went to brunch at Union Kitchen with the Valentine's.

Luke and Graham

Sweet Bennett

And then back to our house for an egg hunt!

Ready to go!

So thankful for this family of mine!

Post nap play time outside!

It was a beautiful day to celebrate our Risen Savior.

Monday morning snuggles with my little!

And a quick lunch before picking G up from school and tumbling!
