How is possible that Graham is 2?! What a joy he is to us, and it is such a blessing to watch him grow, develop, and show his personality that God gave him!
Stats: We don't go until the 4th for his 2 year appointment but I'm guessing he's about 30 lbs and 36 inches.
He has 16 teeth - we are just waiting on the 2 year molars! No sign of them yet.
Milestones: We have a motormouth! And I love my little buddy and all of the fun conversations we have everyday! He is putting together 5 and 6 word phrases. I love seeing how his brain works. And it is crazy to see all that he remembers and still talks about! Graham can usually count from 1-10 but sometimes gets stuck at 7! He can name a lot of colors but only usually gets red and yellow correct when asking to point to something. The BIG transition this past month was moving Graham from a crib to a big boy bed! Can I just say that this was the easiest thing we have done?! He transitioned perfectly, and it went smoother than I ever thought possible!
Personality: CRAZY!! :) He is so happy, easy-going, LOVES to have fun, and just genuinely loves life! No matter what we're doing, Graham is going to have a blast doing it. He has shown some independence and testing at times lately but nothing a few time outs hasn't fixed. Thankfully Graham is usually very compliant and obedient. He loves to be around other people and making them laugh. We haven't had any separation issues lately. He walks right into church nursery without a glance back, and I think he'll do great at MDO starting next week! He is also very loud! He runs around the house screaming at the top of his lungs out of pure excitement!
Sleep: We put Graham down between 8 and 8:15 at night. He plays in his bed with books, stuffed animals, and talks and sings for about 45 minutes before falling asleep. His average wake up time is about 6:30. He knows to stay in bed until we come to get him so he just sits on the end of the bed, and as soon as we open the door he slides off and is ready to go! As for naps, it has been awesome since moving him to his big boy bed! He goes down about 1:30 and usually sleeps until about 4. This is a HUGE improvement and a welcome break for both of us! :)
Clothes: Graham wears 2T in everything. His shoe size is 8 and diaper size 4. He's been the same size for awhile now!
Food: For about the past month, Graham hasn't been a great eater. Some meals he will just take 4 or 5 bites and be done. But I think we are finally coming out of this as he has eaten a lot more the past couple of days. For breakfast he usually has yogurt, a fruit pouch, muffins, or waffles, or pancakes. Lunch and dinner are usually grilled cheese, cheese quesadillas, turkey and cheese sandwiches, mac n cheese, baked beans, black beans, corn, sweet potatoes, bananas, veggie pouches, and that's about it! His favorite snacks are animal crackers, gold fish, and Ritz crackers. He LOVES cookies and ice cream for treats! :)
Likes: playing with friends, going to the library, church, singing - favorites are: Wheels on the Bus, If You're Happy and You Know It, My God is So Big, ABCs, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, swimming, trains and trucks, being outside, Mickey and Elmo, playdoh and coloring, hide and seek, imitating anything Trent is doing, helping me
Dislikes: being told no, sometimes getting dressed and changing his diaper is a wrestling match because he just doesn't want to slow down long enough!
Looking forward to: Graham starts MDO two mornings a week this next week, and I'm so excited for him! I think he will love playing with friends, doing art projects, going outside, going to music class, and just having a different place to explore and play! I also can't wait to watch Graham become a big brother soon! He is so good about seeing all of the baby stuff around the house, pointing, and saying, "Baby Bennett's!" I hope it's as easy of a transition as possible for him.
He seems SO big and old lately, and I know he will even more so once Bennett is here. I can't believe my baby is 2! He is my little buddy, and I'm so thankful for my days at home with him. We love you, Graham!
