Port Aransas 2014

Another awesome Cox family vacay in the books!  We had a great week in Port A - playing in the sand, jumping waves, going to the aquarium, being crazy with the cousins, playing putt-putt and just hanging out!

G and I headed down on Tuesday afternoon - ready for a road trip!

After he slept for all of 25 minutes, I decided we needed snack so chocolate milkshakes it was! :)

Finally on the ferry after a long wait and ready to be at the beach house!

Enjoying a yummy dinner on the water that night with Nana and Bop!

Happy boy with so many toys at the beach on Wednesday morning!

He basically did this the WHOLE time - put sand from the digger into the dump truck - he's a little obsessed!

Resting up that afternoon before the cousins got there!

We went back to the beach every afternoon after nap time - it was such a nice schedule!

And Trent flew in that evening, and we were so glad everybody was there so our vacation could officially start!

 Thursday morning breakfast!

Settling down before nap time - LOTS of books were read this week!

Practicing his sic 'em bears on the beach!

We all got dressed up that evening and attempted family pictures!  Here's a sneak peek!

 Waiting patiently...

 Popsicles on the back porch!

I mean, could he be anymore relaxed?!

Early Friday morning the boys headed out on a fishing trip, and we loaded up the kids and went to the aquarium.  It worked out great because it was a cloudy and rainy day.

LOTS of cousin hugs were given over the course of the week!  It is so sweet and fun to watch them play and love on each other!

My boy and me waiting for the dolphin show to start!

Our crew excited about the bird show!

We got home for lunch and naps, and then it finally cleared off so we headed to the beach!

All of the boys loved playing football!

We enjoyed some yummy seafood at Snoopy's that night!

And ice cream from Scoopy's for dessert!

And then it was time for putt-putt....

G LOVED it!  He sprinted all over the course, occasionally hitting his ball, mostly carrying it, trying to keep up with Caden, shaking flags, picking up other people's ball...

And then we got to the 18th hole - Graham immediately knew something was different and wouldn't put his ball in.  So he waited on the rest of the group, and after everyone was finished, Trent had to pry his ball away from him.  He was screaming and crying and yelling, "Graham's ball!"  Poor thing just didn't understand!  He ran to other holes and was frantically looking for his ball still screaming and crying!  It was both hysterical and so pitiful at the same time!  I'm not sure we'll be playing putt-putt again anytime soon!

All calmed down before bedtime stories with Nana!

My boys relaxing on our last day at the beach!

Snack time for the cousins - always!

 Running football routes!

 Doing yoga!

And me getting some sweet cuddles!

 Lots of digging...

And our only family pic on the beach all week!  It'll have to do, even if G's eyes are closed!

A sleepy bunch on the couch that night.

And having one last piece of Nana's yummy chocolate cake!

We loaded up on Sunday morning and headed home.

 On the ferry!

And he took a good 2 hour nap!

We stopped for lunch at Firehouse Subs where Graham got this hat.  So he played peek a boo the rest of the way home!

Thanks Nana and Bop for a wonderful week at the beach with lots of good memories!  We can't wait until next year!

  1. It was such a good week at the beach! We made so many good memories again. Poor Graham and playing putt-putt. He did not want to lose his ball.
