Colorado

We got back yesterday afternoon from family vacation!  Our destination this year was Colorado Springs to stay at the Broadmoor.  Trent and I LOVE Colorado in the summer time - who doesn't?!

Waiting for our flight on Wednesday - he was so excited to fly on an airplane and blastoff!

 Ready to go!

 So much to look at!

We had an easy flight to Denver, a short drive to our hotel, and we were all ready to get there!
We pulled up to our hotel, I opened the door to get Bennett out, and he had poop all over him - hands, arms, legs, clothes - everywhere.  The bellmen pretty much backed away from us as I got him out of the car and asked where the nearest bathroom was!

All better!  The shorts weren't saved, and he was super close to just being put in the sink for a bath!

 Ready for some dinner!

 The beautiful hotel

My favorite spot there - out by the lake!

We found the geese on our walk after dinner.

Riding the bus on the way to the zoo on Thursday morning!

G was so excited to feed the giraffes!

Uncle Todd was able to get off work and come with us!

The views were amazing, and it was such a cool zoo!

Sweet B was just happy to be along for the ride!

All of the boys rode the carousel.

It was a little rickety and really fast!

 G and Uncle Todd!

A moose - pretty sure we don't have that at the Houston zoo!

 Petting the pony

Lunch at the Golden Bee back at our hotel

They throw bee stickers on you, and the boys thought it was hilarious!

G insisted going to look at the choo choo, but then he wouldn't look up for the picture!

Family pic before dinner that night!

Enjoying the gorgeous view by the lake

Enjoying room service for breakfast on Friday morning!

This one just wanted to sit under the table and shake it!

 Love them so much!

G and I went on a walk that morning while B took his nap and Trent worked for a little bit.

He said, "Take my picture with the geese, Mama!"

 Playing on the playground

Then we drove to Garden of the Gods - beautiful view driving in with Pikes Peak in the background.

We went back to our hotel and had lunch at the golf grill before Trent and Uncle Todd played that afternoon.

I mean, I wish he could be happy! :)

Mickey and animal crackers in bed after nap time!

Waiting by the lake for Trent to finish golfing.

And then we went bowling!  They had a bowling alley on the property, and it was so much fun!  It was G's first time to play, and he absolutely loved it!

 Wrong sport!

Bennett kept going for the lights on the side of the lanes!

Bowling and a chocolate milkshake?!  Life is good!

Proof that I won both games!

Sweet B exploring in the hotel room on Saturday morning.
Both boys were such great travelers and did so well in the hotel.
G had his own room with a fold out couch, and we put B's crib by the front door at night.  It was a great set-up.

Saturday morning was all about paddle boats and pool time!
It was a beautiful day!

 And they're off!

 Lunch by the pool!

 My view during nap time!

What a treat to see one of my good Baylor friends who lives there!

Dinner on Saturday night - B woke up hard from his nap and was pretty fussy most of the night.  So we had to pass him back and forth during dinner!

We went back to the bowling place to get milkshakes for dessert!

 My favorite!

We loaded up on Sunday morning and headed back to the airport.  It was quite eventful getting through the airport - almost an hour wait just to check in and drop our bags, and then I had to have a full pat down in a private room and have my carry on bags searched - really?!  Because I look so suspicious with my boys?!  Because of all of that, we had to scarf down pizza and run to our gate to get there as they were calling family boarding.

Glad to be on and ready to go!

They all slept, and I had a drink! :)

I'm so thankful for all of the fun family memories we made!
