My Poor Baby

So a couple of weeks ago Graham came down with an awful virus that turned into a double ear infection and ruptured ear drum.  He was so pitiful, and it was awful seeing him feel so bad.  I was so thankful when he got back to his crazy busy self after about 10 days of being sick.  It was a long week for all of us, as he was up multiple times during the night, sometimes for 2 or 3 hours.  It was worse than his newborn days!  But we all survived!  Here's hoping to not being sick again anytime soon!

The first afternoon that he woke up from his nap with a 103.8 temperature.

He perked up a little bit so we were able to go on a walk that evening.

On Saturday morning he woke up feeling and acting so much better, and we thought the worst of it was behind us.
We played outside...

He helped Daddy water plants...

And in the yard...

 Danced and played with toys...

And then his fever came back that evening...boo.

Napping on Sunday morning after a  LONG night, one where I really thought I might be pulling an all-nighter...

A little better on Sunday afternoon.

And at the Dr. on Monday morning, only to be told it was a nasty virus and there was nothing he could do to help him.

Here's what Graham thought about being sick!

Fever spiked again on Tuesday...this was probably the worst day.

And Wednesday morning was pretty bad too.

And then he woke up like nothing was wrong and started playing!  I really think this was when his ear drum ruptured and he felt so much better.

So we made a quick trip to HEB so we would have some food in the house!

But then his fever spiked again that evening. :(

So back to the Dr. on Thursday morning and found out the virus turned into the double ear infection and rupture.  I was at least thankful he could get antibiotics and ear drops to help!

Going to the Dr. in the monsoon - he had a towel over his head that he pulled off right before this picture!

My sweet pumpkin finally feeling better!

Halloween

Happy Halloween from our sweet pumpkin! :)  We were able to go trick-or-treating with our neighbors, but Graham was just starting to feel a little bit better after being sick so he wasn't too into it!

Home from the Dr. with some meds and ready to play!

Our sweet, sad, pitiful lion...he was starting to fade at the point!

All of the kids on our street!
Can you find Graham?!

We only took Graham up to a few houses.  All of the streets in our neighborhood our cul-de-sacs so the adults would just stand at each end while the kids ran up and down.  Graham just went to a couple of the houses on the ends of the streets.

 Walking with Daddy...

 Not so sure...

 Thank you!

Back in the wagon to chill and play with my pumpkins!

Graham and our neighbor Jai, who is 7 months older!

We had fun visiting with our neighbors, and Graham enjoyed being outside and riding in his wagon!  Next year we probably won't be able to keep up with him as he runs from house to house! :)

Weekend Wrap-up

I have lots of catching up to do on the blog - I'll get back to Halloween and last week hopefully soon!  But we had a very special weekend...Nana came to Houston to stay with us for a few days!  It was opening weekend of deer hunting so Trent headed out to the ranch on Friday afternoon and my dad was at his deer lease all weekend.  We were ready for some fun after a long and tiring week.

After Graham's nap, we did some serious shopping at Loft and DSW before having dinner at Lupe's...yummy!

Enjoying ice cream for dessert! :)

On Saturday morning we went to the zoo.  We couldn't have asked for better weather!  Graham loved pointing at all of the different animals!

Riding the carousel - kind of - he wasn't too sure about it this trip!

 Looking sleepy on the train!

All worn out!  He fell asleep on the way home while reading his new book!

After lunch and a good nap, we went to Grace's 2nd birthday fiesta!  Graham had a blast in the bounce house and playing with the other kids!

We had pizza on the patio for dinner!

And played with the big box before bed!

Playing before church on Sunday morning!

 My boy and me! :)

 Nana and G

Time change has been rough so far.  He fell asleep both on the way to church and on the way home!

Home for lunch and a nap!

That afternoon we did a little more shopping and then had dinner outside at Ruggles Green!  Graham enjoyed listening to the live music and watching all of the people.  It was the perfect ending to a great weekend!

Nana and Graham with the pretty lights!

Crazy kid - Sunday was the first day he was truly back to 100% after last week.  I was so glad to have my crazy boy back!

This morning Graham was up at 6:15 thanks to the wonderful time change.

This is how we feel about setting our clocks back an hour...

We went on a walk before the rain came.

And Graham took a morning nap for the first time in 2 months!

After lunch at Chick-fil-A, we helped Nana get packed up so she could head back to Waco

Thanks, Mom, for coming to play with us this weekend!  It was so much fun!  We love you!
