Parker at 3 Months

 Three months already with our sweet boy!  What a fun month it has been.  Parker has grown and changed so much!

Stats: We don't go back to the Dr until his 4 month appointment, but he's almost 12 1/2 pounds now!

Eating: He eats at 7:30 am, 10:30, 1:00, 4:00, 6:30, 9:30, and about 3:30 am.  I'm slowly starting to wean him from nursing by skipping a feeding or two a day.  I'm also supplementing with formula in the evenings.

Personality: He's so sweet!  He just wants to be in the middle of the action.  Parker loves to see everything that's going on.  I can usually just put him in his bouncer by wherever the big boys are playing, and he's easily entertained!  He was very happy and easy going and flexible this month.  All good qualities for the third child!

Sleeping: Parker made huge strides in his sleeping at night this month.  He's dropped a feeding, and usually only eats between 3:30 and 4:30.  He's very easy to put down for naps and nighttime.  He lets me know when he's ready, I swaddle him and rock while I sing a song or two, and then put him in his rock n play and he goes right to sleep!  He naps during the day at 9:00, 11:30, 1:30, and 5:00.  His 1:30 nap is usually for about 2 hours.  The rest are 45 min each.  He's on a great schedule!

Likes: being outside, baths, watching the big boys play, bouncer, play mat, being held and talked to, "talking" to us, chewing on his hands

Dislikes: when the car stops, being left alone in a room - he likes to be wherever the action is!

Milestones: Parker loves to smile and talk to us all day long!  He holds his head up really well.  He found his hands and loves to put them in his mouth.  He is sleeping in his room!  Still in his rock n play, but I plan on moving him to his crib in the next few weeks.  

Clothes: Parker is wearing 3 month clothes and some 3-6 months.  Still size 1 diaper, but I'm on our last box and will then switch to size 2.  He's wearing a size 3 overnight diaper.  I had to buy a bunch of 3 month summer clothes for him because the big boys wore 3 month clothes in the winter!

Favorite Moment: He so easily smiles now and knows how to make noises to get our attention.  I love seeing his sweet personality come out.  It's fun watching him watch the big boys in amazement.  

Looking forward to: Seeing him "play" more and more with toys.  He loves to bat at the things on his play mat already.  It will be fun when he can hold on to toys and shake rattles.

He had his first play date with Will, but they were too busy sleeping!
