Life Lately

How is it already the end of April?!  We have been busy and somehow I got behind on the blog, again!  Enjoy all of the pics!

Play time outside while G is at school so B gets to enjoy ALL of the toys!

Silly boy!  He's obsessed with Elmo right now.

My view while making dinner one evening - my little monkey.

Smoothies are a fave around here for post nap snack!

Sweet cuddles at the end of the day.

Ready for a road trip to Waco!

G closing his eyes and trying to nap because I told him we would stop for a treat when he woke up!

They napped all of 45 minutes so we stopped at Whataburger for a shake!

In Waco and of course the first thing we have to do is feed the ducks!

B would hold the bread for awhile before he threw it, and a duck bit his hand!  It was hilarious, and he still randomly talks about it at least 5 times a day!  He will point to his finger and say quack quack!

Sliding brothers!

On that Friday morning Trent drove through Waco and picked up Graham.  They went to the ranch to turkey hunt for the weekend.  Bennett, my mom, and I went to Sherman to see my grandmother who was recently moved into an assisted living facility.  We had a great visit with her!  And B was such a good traveler and trooper.

Grandma and B on Friday afternoon when we got there!

Me and Grandma

 Meanwhile at the ranch...
Loving being outside and doing big boy things!

Driving the tractor

Feeding deer feeders with Uncle Brad

We went to my Uncle and Aunt's house for dinner on Friday.  B got to help Mary drive through the pasture to see her new cow!

Uncle Scott took him on a 4 wheeler ride, and he loved it!

And Trent shot a turkey on Friday night!

Waking up in the hotel room on Saturday morning.

Climbing on Nana's bed

And climbing on the AC unit...

Big boy at the ranch!

We had another wonderful visit with Grandma on Saturday morning.

It was so good to see her and give her a big hug!

We made a quick stop at the outlet malls in Allen and to eat lunch before we headed back to Waco.

Such a good traveler!

G in the deer stand with his pop gun!

Loving his binocs!

He loves his Aunt Kelsey!

B enjoyed some fun play time back in Waco!  Silly boy!

Climbing on the exercise bike.

We had a relaxing day on Sunday of church and naps.  And then the monsoon came.  Trent drove back to Waco on Monday morning so we could follow each other home.  We weren't sure what to expect with all of the flooding in and around Houston.  Thankfully our house was okay.

So much water along the Grand Parkway

After so much driving the past few days, B found new ways to entertain himself!

Back to the usual on Tuesday morning - climbing!

Couch time with my boys right before bed.

Sweet morning cuddles while big brother was at school!

His new spot - he put himself in timeout!

Just lounging in my closet while I was getting ready.

Cute boy in his rain jacket

Finally on Wednesday afternoon we had some sunshine so we went to the park.

We also do timeouts in his bed but you can see his leg hiked up.  He can almost crawl out!

I took the stool away to keep him from climbing on the counter.  You can see how well that worked...

Quietly playing together after breakfast one morning!  A miracle!

Last Friday we went to Monkey Bizness to play with friends!
We took sweet Maddie with us since her mom is recovering with a new baby!

Lunch break!

Somehow I don't have any pictures from last weekend!  Friday night we walked to dinner at Ruggles Green and enjoyed eating on the patio.  It was so nice to have some good weather!  On Saturday morning we got some things done around the house, G and I ran a few errands, and then we all napped!  That night Trent and I went to dinner with two other couples.  It was a fun night!

Church is exhausting...

Monday morning - all the coffee!

My mom came into town on Monday to see us for a few days!  On Tuesday I co-chaired the Spring Fling event at Graham's school.  It's just a fun carnival type day for the kids to play outside and play games.  It was lots of fun but tiring and hot!  Nana and Bennett went on a walk, played at the park, came to see us at school, and then home for lunch and naps!

Graham loved having me there all day!

Graham and Maddie!

Soaking wet on the patio!

We walked to the park that evening and to dinner at Cafe Express!

Cupcakes for dessert!

B giving Nana some sweet cuddles!

Yesterday afternoon I walked around the corner of the kitchen to this....

Happy Thursday!

  1. Bennett keeps you so busy. I love the picture of him on the end table. I'm so glad we were able to go to Sherman. It was a fun trip. I enjoyed coming to Houston and spending the time with y'all. B and I had a good day together. G is a good turkey hunter.
