Weekends in Waco

We have worn out Highway 6 between Waco and Houston lately!  Trent went hunting in west Texas for 5 days a few weeks ago so the boys and I headed to Waco for some fun and a football game!

My packing "helper" while big brother was at school that morning!

First stop in Waco, George's for dinner!  Cheers!

We enjoyed a beautiful day at the zoo on Thursday!

 Sic 'em!

I promise Bennett was there too!  Somehow I don't have a single picture of him.  We made a quick run to the bookstore for some fall gear, had lunch at Rosa's, and then visited Bop at school!

His favorite thing to do at Nana's house - make cookies!

And B's favorite - climbing chairs!

Evening walk after dinner to feed the ducks!  Another favorite of G's!

Early morning cuddles with my big boy!

And we were so excited Magnolia had a surprise opening that week so of course we had to go check it out!

Saturday morning tailgating before the game against West Virginia!

Loving watching the band at halftime!

My sleepy boy took a 45 minute nap during the game!

Pizza, chocolate cake, and ice cream to end the night!

 And B LOVES pudding!

We headed home on Sunday morning to see Daddy and hear all about his hunting adventures!

We had a busy week at home and then headed back to Waco on Friday for Homecoming!

Bennett loved Max!  I'm not sure Max felt the same way!

Cousin sleepover!  These 3 had the most fun together!

The fam about to head to the game on Saturday morning.  Poor Bennett didn't make the picture again!  He was already taking his morning nap and stayed with a babysitter during the game.

My boys walking in - it was pouring!

Our tailgate won "tailgater of the game!"

G lasted about 45 minutes in our seats and then told me, "I'm too wet."  Thankfully the rest of the family had covered seats so he got to sit with them and be dry!

 Eating popcorn with Kaki!

Chicken strips and french fries with Nana!

And then nap time, of course!

Caden and Graham played lots of football on Saturday evening back at Nana and Bop's house!

B got the ball and took off with it!

Lots of wrestling!  Can you see Kaki?!

And a really fun game of hide-n-seek!  Can you see G back behind the TV?!

Headed home on Sunday morning after a fun, exhausting, and rainy weekend!
Can't wait to be back in a few weeks to cheer for our Bears again!

  1. We are so glad to have yall burning up highway 6. It was so nice to have yall here during the week so we could take things slow and do some other fun things. Nana loves to make cookies with Graham too! It was great to have everyone together for homecoming, a family tradition. So fun to see the cousins having a great time together.
