Weekend Wrap-up: Colorado Edition

So last Thursday we packed up and were ready for another adventure!  Trent's aunt and uncle so graciously invited us to their house in Aspen for a few days.  It worked out that 12 members of his family were also able to coordinate a trip at the same time, so we enjoyed a mini-family reunion!

We were so excited about the cooler weather and the beautiful scenery.  Colorado is my favorite place to visit in the summer!

On the shuttle to the airport...G doesn't know what to think!

My boys on the plane!  Let me just say how much easier it was to fly with Graham back when he was 6 and 7 months old.  He loved it; he was just all over the place and not wanting to sit still!

He finally fell asleep the last 30 minutes of the flight and had a hard time waking up!  Here we are on the bus to the rental car place.

Thursday was a long day of travel, but this view on Friday morning out of our bedroom made it worth it!

 GORGEOUS!

On Friday, we rode the gondola to the top of the mountain!  There were lots of things to do up there!  The boys played hard, and then we had a yummy ice cream treat before heading back down.

 Breathtaking views!

Graham and Sawyer (Trent's cousin) digging in the sand box!

 Riding back down!

Group shot!

After naps on Friday afternoon, we just sat on the back porch and played in the yard.  To say that Graham LOVED running all over would be an understatement.  He loved all of the freedom he had with so much room and nice weather to be outside and play!  He wore himself out!

Doing a Sic 'em as he walks up to the bears!

 Love them!

 The back of the house...

The front of the house...it was GORGEOUS!

And we ended our great day by the fire pit outside!  Wrapped in blankets!  It was wonderful! :)

On Saturday the boys headed out for a fly fishing trip so we loaded up the kids and went to the farmer's market in town!

Elizabeth, Graham, and I found the hot mini donuts and coffee! :)
(And please excuse his high water jeans...found out his 6-12 month ones no longer fit!  We haven't needed them in awhile here in Texas!)

And that afternoon we were back at it playing in the yard and running around!

Poor Graham...Trent and Todd tried to squeeze him in a sweatshirt that was too small!

 My boy and me! :)

Graham with his daddy and Uncles Todd and Brad!

Uncle Todd and his girlfriend Elizabeth!

On Sunday morning, the whole group went to Maroon Bells to hike!  It was another beautiful day, and there were several different trails to choose from depending on the difficulty you were wanting!

Graham loved the backpack!  He was just giggling and playing with the back of Trent's head!

A family shot before we got started!

And Graham promptly fell asleep and took a good 45 minute nap!

 Trent's grandmother and me!

All 12 of us!

We drove back to Denver on Sunday evening to stay at a hotel before our early flight on Monday.  The car trip got a little long for all of us!

A happy boy because I was in the backseat with him!

FREEDOM!!  He loved running all around the hotel room!

And we went swimming at the indoor pool!  He was laughing and splashing all over the place!

We all actually slept really well, even sharing a room!

Up bright and early to come home!

Vacation sure wears a guy out! :)

We had such a wonderful vacation, and we really enjoyed God's beautiful creation and good time with family!  We are very thankful we were able to take this trip and enjoy some time away!
