A Day at the Zoo!

I knew I had to take advantage of the beautiful weather this week so we went to the zoo with Stephanie and Grace yesterday!  We couldn't have asked for a prettier day!  There was hardly anybody there, and we just took our time strolling around enjoying the animals, the weather, and the good company!  We have a family pass to the zoo now, so I see many trips in our future!  Graham slept for about 2 hours of the 2 1/2 that we were there...I know he will enjoy it a lot more when he gets a little older! :)

Weekend Wrap-Up

What a fun weekend we had!  It actually started early on Thursday when Trent's grandparents drove to Houston from Austin.  We hadn't seen them since May since they spent the summer in Colorado.  We were excited to visit and catch up!  But let's be honest...they weren't coming to see us...they wanted to meet Graham, of course! :)  And we were excited to show them our new house!

We sat around, visited, cooed and smiled (well Graham did), ate a yummy dinner, and went and got frozen yogurt on Thursday!  Friday morning I was able to run a few errands and vote while they watched Graham.  Trent then came home early again, and we made a trip to Bass Pro Shops!  Graham got some cute corduroy camouflage overalls, hat, and houseshoes...I can't wait until he wears them at the ranch in a few weeks!  Friday night we went to our favorite pizza place and then just relaxed at the house!

After they left on Saturday morning, I was able to go spend some birthday money and hit up some good sales!  Love me some new fall clothes!  The rest of the day was spent watching football and just hanging out and napping!

Graham made it through both Sunday School and the church service yesterday!  We came home to nap and then enjoyed a nice walk in the beautiful weather!

Weekend Wrap-Up

Graham and I were off to Waco for another fun weekend while Trent went hunting with some friends!  I was concerned about how Graham would do on the car ride without a passenger to turn around and stick the paci back in...but he slept the ENTIRE way both there and back!  It was great!  I timed it so that we were travelling after his first morning feeding when he tends to sleep the best.  It was nice to have a calm, relaxing weekend in Waco.  Usually when we go we are so busy with football games and hanging out with family and friends.

On Friday we went up to my dad's school and had lunch with him!  Bop loved showing Graham off around the office!  We then went home for naps!  I was able to sleep for almost two hours, thanks to my mom!  It was wonderful!  We then went back up to school for the Midway football tailgate and game.  Graham made it through the first quarter, and then it was home to eat!

On Saturday morning my mom treated me to a manicure and pedicure while Bop babysat Graham!  They had fun napping, singing, and dancing...until Graham got hungry ahead of schedule..oops! :)  We all then enjoyed lunch at George's and dessert at Three Spoons!

We hung out at the house the rest of the day and watched lots of football, including our poor Bears...

On Sunday morning we headed home to meet our friends at the pumpkin patch!  I'll post the pics in another post...they were too cute!

We then enjoyed a relaxing afternoon, with all 3 of us taking a 2 hour nap...it was awesome!  Graham loved bath night in his tub, and then he ate at 10:30 and didn't wake up until 5:45!  I think Nana and Bop wore him out this weekend!

And this is where we are now...Graham has been in his crib for an hour and fifteen minutes.  He has slept MAYBE ten minutes.  He hasn't fussed at all...he's just hanging out and watching the ceiling fan!  In the picture his arms are swinging all over the place.  We always say that he's having a boxing match!

Weekend Wrap-Up

What a fun, busy weekend we had!  We all survived Graham's first road trip, with flying colors I might add!  We packed up on Friday afternoon and headed out on the 3 hour drive to Waco.  Graham slept the entire time!  He was ready to eat when we got there, and then he had lots of play time with Nana and Bop!  He knew he needed his rest because Saturday sure was busy...

We started off Saturday morning with breakfast at my personal favorite, Cafe Cappuccino!  You can't beat their chocolate chip pancakes!  Graham decided to stay awake most of breakfast because he didn't want to miss out on anything!

Then it was back to the house to greet our cousins!  Graham was so excited to see Caden and Kaki!  We had dressed them all in coordinating outfits for a little pumpkin photo shoot!

Next up was a visit from my grandparents, Gran and Poppa.  I was so excited for Graham to meet his great-grandparents!

After pizza and football watching, we all headed out to tailgate before the Baylor v. TCU game.  We got to catch up with lots of friends!  Graham slept almost the entire time.

I then took Graham back to my parents house before the game started.  Katie so graciously volunteered to watch Kaki and Graham during the football game.  I know that Graham enjoyed his cuddles with her and all of the hugs from Kaki!  Too bad the football game wasn't an enjoyable one..maybe next time?!

We headed home to Houston yesterday morning.  Graham slept the entire way until about 10 minutes from home.  He was ready to eat and be out of the car seat!  We then enjoyed a lazy day while it stormed outside!
