Fourth of July

We were so excited about a long weekend at home with not much planned!

We started off Friday evening with snow cones!

On Saturday morning we grabbed an early breakfast of pancakes at Island Grill, and then went to The Villages neighborhood parade.  It was so much fun!

G's favorite part!

My boys!

Working hard for the beads!

We came home for B to nap and then went to the pool!

B rocked his new hat!

That evening Kelsey came into town to stay with the boys while Trent and I went to the Garth Brooks concert with some friends.

Life with a toddler - Trent and I tried to take a picture before we left, but Graham insisted on being in it, but yet he refused to look at the camera!

He put on an awesome show!  Very entertaining!

Sunday morning at church with Ella, the birthday girl!

Astros Game

At the end of June we had our babysitter come stay with Bennett one Saturday afternoon so we could take Graham to the Astros game!  It was a special time with our big boy, and also a treat for him since he had an awesome week of potty training! (More on that later!)

Of course he had to take a picture with Mickey!

He enjoyed a hot dog, french fries, and ice cream!

What a fun day!

Stomach Bug

A couple of weeks ago the boys got hit with a nasty stomach bug.  Poor Bennett definitely got the worst of it.  At first I thought it was just be a quick 24 hour bug, but it lasted Sunday-Thursday.  It was rough for all of us.

Sweet, sleeping boy who didn't feel good

We watched lots of shows and videos to survive!

And then G threw up about lunch time on Monday.  He napped in our room because I didn't want him to throw up all over his bed.

And then he threw up again on Tuesday morning.  So we did lots of this that day!

Sweet B wanted to play so bad, but he mostly just cuddled all week.

My sweet boy after a rough 2 days.

We finally got to see the dr. on Wednesday because B's diaper rash had gotten so bad.
Apparently I don't feed him enough so he resorted to eating his foot!
He had actually about 1/2 a pound, but the dr. and I both agreed he could afford to lose some weight! :)

Here's hoping the stomach bug doesn't come back to our house for awhile!

Chicago

A couple of weeks ago Trent went to Chicago for work, and I decided to tag along on the tail end of his trip and we made a long weekend out of it!

A nice, relaxing flight all by myself!

We had an amazing Italian dinner that night at Rosebud on Rush.

Waiting for breakfast on Friday morning!

We ate at Wildberry - delicious!
*You'll quickly notice the theme of this trip - eating!  I'm pretty sure we ate our way through the city! :)

 The Bean!

 Cubs game on Friday afternoon!

The weather was beautiful!

We had dinner at a yummy burger place after the game.

And then we crashed early that night after a long and busy day!

 Boat tour on Saturday morning.

It was a great way to see the city.

We then rode bikes along Lake Michigan.

And had some yummy pizza for lunch!

Dinner that night was at Bandera.

Enjoying a drink on a rooftop bar to top off the night.
We flew home on Sunday morning to get out boys!
It was such a fun, easy trip.  Chicago was a great city to explore!

And of course the boys didn't seem to miss us one bit!

 Slip n slide!

 Pizza!

 Bounce house!

 Playing with Poppa!

Riding the train at Lions Park!

Thanks Nana and Bop for taking such good care of our boys, especially when they were still getting over the yucky stomach bug.  G and B had so much fun!
