Spring Break Part II

The second half of spring break brought a much anticipated visit from The Cousins!  Graham was ready to show them all of his new tricks!  They arrived about lunchtime on Wednesday, and everybody was so excited to see each other that no one took a nap! :)  So we headed over to the park to play!

Quite the trio...lots of trouble in their future! :)

 Going for a ride!

Not a care in the world!

We spend lots of time playing in the backyard too!

 Bubbles on the patio!

Love these three so much!

And there were lots of cousin cuddles to be had!

The boys!

Kaki and her baby doll! :)  As you can see, there was close supervision!

I had my arms full!  Graham was zeroing in on Kaki's hair!

Showing off their treats from the zoo!

On Thursday morning we loaded up my car to the brim and headed to the zoo, along with everybody else on spring break it seemed!  But we managed just fine...rode the carousel, ate a picnic lunch, saw lots of animals, and picked out stuffed animals to take home!

My buddy while I was getting ready!

All loaded up!  You can't see the double stroller in the back!

 We're here!

Carousel time!

 Me and my boy!

Our tour guide Caden ready to take us around the zoo!

 At least I'm looking, right?!

It was a long trek back to the car with a couple of melt downs by all of us! :)  Kaki gave us her best cheese while Graham slept away!

Cousin bath time was a favorite by all!  Talk about all hands on deck! :)

How Caden MUCH preferred it! :)

We were sad to see the cousins go on Friday morning...we had so much fun and made so many great memories!  We can't wait to see y'all again!

And you can come back ANYTIME because Graham took 2 hour and a half naps that day!  Ha!  They wore him out! :)

But we still had plenty of fun in store for the weekend!  Trent and I had tickets to see Blake Shelton at the rodeo on Friday night thanks again to some of his clients, and we also enjoyed sitting in a suite again! :)  Our good friends, the Mitchell's, baby sat Graham for us, and then we traded with them on Saturday night and baby sat their sweet little Grace!  It worked out perfectly!

All dressed up for the rodeo...my mom wanted to see a pic!  And yes, I wore my cowboy boots to the rodeo both times, and now they're back in my closet until next year! :)

Going to play at the park on Friday evening!

Stephanie texted me this pic of how he fell asleep!  Don't worry, she laid him down right after this!

Blake Shelton put on an awesome concert!

Playing at the park on Saturday evening!

 Just a swingin'!

So much fun with these two!  And it showed me how much I need to baby proof my house! :)

On Sunday we enjoyed church, lunch, and lots of family time!
Our normal babysitter's mom is one of the nursery directors so she always plays with Graham on Sunday mornings!  She texted me this pic during Sunday school!  He was really sleepy!

 Some patio time!

And of course some play time at the park!  What a cool dude!

My boys!  Oh how I love them!

And that wraps up our fun and busy spring break week!

Spring Break Part I

We had such a fun and adventurous spring break that I have to divide it into 2 posts!  And even though I'm no longer teaching, it was funny to me how our schedule still seemed to revolve around everyone else's spring break! :)  So here is the first part of the week...
Ok, so this was actually the Thursday before, but I had to include it...we had a last minute lunch date with Daddy at Panera!

Bubble time at Gymboree class on Friday!  I just have to say how much Graham LOVES this class!

Playing at home on Friday afternoon...he is TROUBLE!!!

On Friday night, Trent and I headed to the rodeo on a party bus and sitting in a suite to see Tim McGraw thanks to some wonderful clients of his!  Graham stayed home and got to play with his favorite babysitters!  I got this pic before he went to bed!

Such a sweet time on Saturday celebrating one of my besties Joanna and her sweet Anna Marie.  I'm so thankful for these girls!

And then on Sunday, the real adventure began!!  Graham and I packed our bags and headed to the airport to fly to Dallas.  We were making a special trip to Sherman so Grandma could meet Graham!  Nana and Bop were driving from Waco to Dallas and offered to pick us up, which I was much more willing to fly with Graham for the first time than to spend 5 hours in the car! :)  And he did AWESOME!!  He fell asleep on my shoulder before we even took off, woke up 30 minutes later to eat, and then fell back asleep until we pulled up at our gate.  It couldn't have been easier!

Not so sure about this whole flying thing...

Worn out in the car driving to Sherman!

Meeting Grandma for the first time!

My cousin Mary, Uncle Scott, and Aunt Mimmie came over that evening as well...G loved Cousin Mary, as Caden always refers to her! :)

 Just playing!

 Showing off his new skill!

 Saying bye until next time!

And then we had a special lunch stop on our way back to Dallas...YUMMY!

 He was worn out!

Graham stayed awake the whole flight until the last 10 minutes on the way back.  He wasn't fussy, just busy, but thankfully we sat next to a nice grandmother going to see her grandkids so she was very friendly and understanding!

Riding the shuttle back to our car!  So proud of ourselves!

After we got home on Tuesday evening, we loaded up and enjoyed a family walk and the extra hour of daylight!  A good walk always includes a stop at the swings! :)

My happy boy!

Stay tuned for Spring Break Part II...you won't want to miss hearing about our special visitors to Houston!!

6 Months

No way my baby is already half way to his first birthday!  How is that possible?!  Well it is, and he is growing and changing right before our eyes every single day.

Stats: Graham had a great 6 month appointment this morning!
Weight: 18.12 lbs, 77%, Length: 27 3/4 in, 88 %, Head: 17 3/4, 91%

Milestones: army crawling, going to a sitting position from being on his tummy, his first tooth!!!, sitting a lot better unassisted, loving his veggies, rolling all over the place,, makes great eye contact, reaching for anything and everything, babbling up a storm to us, his toys, and really anybody who will listen!  We went for our first sick visit last week due to a bad cough and cold.

Feeding: Graham takes 4 bottles a day, usually about 6:45, 11:00, 3:00, and 7:30.  He eats two veggies for dinner about 6:30.  His favorite is sweet potatoes!  We just started fruits today at lunch.  He is now just taking 28-32 ounces of formula a day instead of the 40 he had been enjoying!  He gets so excited when we put him in his high chair and get his food out.  His feet are kicking, arms are waving, and his screech is telling us we better hurry up!  Feeding him is SUPER messy!  We take him straight to the bath tub when we're done!

Behavior: Graham is so happy and easy going ALL OF THE TIME!  He is very laid back and loves to go and do whatever we do!  He likes to make friends at HEB, at restaurants, at the car wash today...he just flashes that smile and turns on his charm to whomever will pay attention to him!

Sleep: Graham goes down for bed about 8:00 every night and is now consistently sleeping until about 6:30. And then he's up for the day...ugh...this has been an adjustment for me!  I really didn't mind the 5:30 feeding because then he would go back to sleep for a couple more hours! :)  Naps are going to be the death of me...for about 3 weeks straight he would wake up 30 minutes on the dot every single time.  For about the past week he has been taking one nap a day that lasts at least an hour, but the rest are just 30 minutes.  He usually takes 3-4 naps a day, depending on how long they last.

Clothes: Graham is wearing 6 months, some 6-9, and his jeans and swimsuits are 6-12 months.  He is in a size 3 diaper, both regular and overnight.  I recently bought a lot of cute 9 month spring clothes that I can't wait for him to wear!

Likes: pretty much everything!, reading books, grabbing my jewelry, being sung to and rocked, swinging, going outside, eating, learning to move and go wherever he wants to, playing with his friends, standing, hearing himself talk, bath time, swim class, bubbles, exersaucer, things that light up

He does the downward dog yoga pose about 50 times a day...no joke!  From here he will then pull his knees under him and lunge forward!

Dislikes: having to be still, being in his carseat for too long, having his nose wiped

Favorite Moments: I just love introducing Graham to new things.  Everything is so fascinating to him, and I just love seeing it through his eyes!  I can see his little mind working and figuring things out, and it is the coolest thing!  We started swim class yesterday, and we both had so much fun!  Graham did great in the water and loved all of the songs and activities we did!  And even though he is now waking up so early, one of my hands down favorite times of the day is going in his room and seeing his whole face light up and smile when he sees me!

Ringing the bells at music class!

Most challenging: The power naps have for sure been challenging.  By the time I take a few minutes to catch up on texts or emails then start to get some chores down, he's awake again!  Also it has been challenging as he has become more mobile, just making sure he is safe and somewhat contained when he needs to be! :)  He wears me out every single day...I'm exhausted keeping up with him!

My laundry helper demonstrating his favorite way to sit.  And yes he made his way over to the piles of clothes and messed them up!

Looking forward to: Just continuing to watch him grow, change, and develop.  I've loved every stage, and each one just keeps getting more and more fun!  We are flying to Dallas on Sunday for Graham to meet my Grandma!  And then the cousins are coming next week!!!  We haven't seen them since Christmas so it is going to be SO much fun watching all of them interact!

Another pic of him sitting!  I've decided he isn't still long enough to be able to balance himself in a normal sitting position!

Sweet boy, what an amazing 6 months it has been!  You make me and your dad smile and laugh so much every single day.  We are amazed by you and the joy you bring us!  I'm glad we've all survived these first 6 months, and we are looking forward to so many more fun memories with you!

We love you!  How much?  So much!  How much is so?  Way way more than you know!

Weekend Wrap-up

Another weekend, another roadtrip!  We made a quick visit to Marble Falls this weekend to see Trent's family and to celebrate 4 birthdays with his extended family!  It was fun seeing everyone!

I rode in the backseat part of the way on Friday with this character!

I was in charge of keeping him quiet and entertained while Trent was on a conference call...HA...you can see that I pulled out almost every toy I had, and he was just babbling away!

My boys reading a book on Saturday morning!

 Graham and Mimi!

Love him so much!

 Graham and PawPaw!

This was too funny...Graham was with Trent's aunt and cousin, and he just wanted to pull Sawyer's hair!  It was fun watching them interact!

We headed home on Saturday evening at Graham's bedtime.  He was a champ and slept the whole way and went to his crib without any problems!

LOVING his first buggy ride at church on Sunday!  I was so excited when we walked into the children's building to pick him up and saw him in here!

See how good it feels to take a 2 1/2 hour nap?!?

 Ready for a family walk!

Enjoying some patio time, and we cooked out in our new outdoor kitchen!

A sweet pic of my 2 vases of tulips that Trent brought home last week after work just because! :)

Crazy hair!  Trent decided not to comb it after bath and let it got au naturale...I got more comments about his waves and curls today while we were out!

Hope you all have a great week!  Lots of exciting things coming up for us...Graham's 6 month post (WHAT?!?), a special weekend visit to Dallas and Graham's first flight (pray for me!), and then some VERY special and much anticipated visitors to Houston next week! :)
