Christmas in Waco

We loaded up Christmas morning and headed from Marble Falls to Waco.  The Cox family was gearing up for a big Christmas celebration!  Once everybody got there about lunch time, the kids (namely the bigger ones!) wanted to open presents!

Graham was excited about more presents to open!

Kaki liked her new ball to play with!

 Family pic!

 Uncle Tag and the boys!

Caden showing off a couple of presents...his RGIII jersey, Baylor football helmet, and Candy Land...he was one happy little boy!

And he got a cool scooter!  I'm not sure who had more fun...Caden or Justin and Trent! :)

Aunt Katie and Caden teaching Graham how to play Candy Land!

 Happy Birthday Jesus!

We all enjoyed our yummy Christmas dinner!

And somehow that was all of the pictures I got from our time together in Waco!  On Wednesday we just hung out at the house because it was so cold outside!  The boys enjoyed a night out while we girls held down the fort and watched a girl movie!  And then on Thursday we all took a walk/scooter/stroller ride to the pond to feed the ducks!  We were sad to see the Round Rock crew head home that afternoon, but we all rested up to stay up late to watch the Bears beat UCLA!  And then on Friday morning, we packed our car up to the brim and headed to the ranch for the weekend!

And that concludes our Christmas travels!  We had a wonderful time seeing lots of family and celebrating Christmas!  Graham once again was an all-star traveler in the car!  We got home on NYE and watched football, ordered Mexican food, and toasted at 10:00 and went to bed! :)

Weekend Wrap-up

Happy Monday! I know I need to finish Christmas posts this week, but today it's time for our weekend wrap up! Can I just say that this past weekend was one of my favorites?! We didn't do anything special or out of the ordinary, just spent good quality time together. Trent only had to work half days last week so we kind of had an extended Christmas break! I so needed it after our busy 10 days of traveling.

On Friday Graham and I went to HEB. I decided to try him in the Bjorn instead of his car seat. He LOVED it! My back and shoulders, however, did not! After Trent got home that afternoon we rented a movie and just hung out and played with Graham! We made chili and cornbread that evening and watched the Cotton Bowl.

This was from Thursday night...Graham has been sitting in his high chair at the table with us while we eat dinner!  I can't believe he's big enough to do this!

Love him in his jeans!  Ready to go grocery shopping!

Oops...out of order...all cozy in some new pajamas he got from Christmas!  I love the froggy feet!

On Saturday morning we took down Christmas decorations, took care of stuff around the house, did laundry, and just played!  I finally feel like our house is back in order after unpacking and putting away Christmas presents.  We had friends over to watch the Baylor v. UT basketball game, and our boys just played and watched each other all afternoon!  I'm glad the Bears hung on to win that one!  On Saturday evening I went to dinner with a group of girls from Sunday school...it was such a fun time of fellowship and a relaxing dinner!

We headed to Sunday School and church on Sunday morning.  Graham did great for the two hours in the nursery!
All dressed up and worn out after church!

The rest of the day was spent watching football and napping!

A good place for a nap!

This morning Graham had his 4 month appointment!  Dr. P was so impressed with all of his developmental growth as well as his measurements.  He had a great check-up!  We are starting rice cereal this evening.  Should be fun and messy!

Weight: 16 lbs 3 oz 62%
Height: 26 in 81%
Head: 17 1/2 cm 98%

At his 2 month appointment he was only in the 8th % so he has put on a few pounds the last couple of months!
Playing while waiting for the Dr...G was more interested in his toy than taking a picture!

Happy boy after we got home, even after his shots!

He's doing pretty well so far.  He woke up from his nap fussy, and I can just tell he's a little uncomfortable.

I hope you all have a great week!

Christmas in Marble Falls

The first stop on our Christmas road trip was Marble Falls to see all of the Agnews!  We were excited to get there on Saturday to see Graham's Uncle Todd for a couple of days who had flown in from Denver.  And Graham got to meet his Uncle Brad!  We had a fun time baking cookies, playing games, eating breakfast at Super Taco, walking through the Walkway of Lights, and spending Christmas Eve in Georgetown with the extended family.

 Graham supervised the cookie making!

 G with his Uncle Todd!

After an outfit change...it was a major spit up day!

Graham and his 2nd cousin Kadi...he got to meet 6 2nd cousins but somehow Kadi is the only one I got a picture of!

Getting ready to read the Christmas story and talk about highlights of our year!

 Time for presents!

Taking a bottle in his PJ's before heading back to Marble Falls for the night!

 Christmas morning photo shoot...

 Can you say spoiled?!

 Love that smile!

Graham's First Christmas

Trent and I had been looking so forward to celebrating Christmas with our family of 3 before packing up and heading out of town for 10 days.  We started with dinner at one of our favorite places, La Vista, where we enjoyed some yummy food and a bottle of our favorite wine, and topped it off with cheesecake that we brought home for dessert!  Graham slept through the first half of dinner, and then we took turns holding him while we finished.

We then drove through our neighborhood looking at all of the great Christmas lights before coming home to open presents!  We were all very spoiled and all of the gifts were so thoughtful!  Graham LOVED watching us open presents...his eyes were so big and focused on the wrapping paper!

So excited about his Baby Einstein DVD!

He's our special present this year! :)

I had to get a pic with my boy!

So cool with his new shades and Baylor mittens!

Graham got lots of great new 6 and 9 month clothes from us!  And then the next morning, Santa came!  Graham was so excited to see what he left for him! :)

A music and activity table, some new bath towels, pajamas, and an outfit!

We had a great time with our sweet little family making special memories and starting new traditions with Graham!  What a blessing he is and to be able to celebrate Christmas with him!  Trent and I had a whole new perspective this year, and we can't wait to teach Graham about the true meaning of Christmas!

4 Months

I know I'll say this every month, but I really cannot believe that I'm writing this post!  This month was so much fun watching Graham grow and change so much developmentally and physically.  He has started doing so many new things!  We had such a special time celebrating Christmas with him!  Here are all of the fun 4 month facts and some cute pics!

Stats: We don't go to the doctor until Monday so I don't know for sure, but i think he is somewhere between 13 and 14 pounds.  He has chunked up a lot lately!  I love seeing his chunky thighs and rolls in his neck!

Milestones: He is rolling over from tummy to back sometimes, but not consistently.  Graham has gotten so good at grabbing and holding onto things.  He especially likes my hair! :)  We can put him on a blanket with toys all around him, and he'll just reach around, pick one up, and hold it and play with it.  His favorite thing to do is to stand with us just holding his hands.  He can hold his weight on his legs for about a minute before getting wobbly.  He has also gotten so good at holding his head up, and he just wants to sit up all of the time.  When we put him in the bouncer, car seat, or swing now, he just tries to raise his head up...he gets a good ab workout in!  The noises Graham makes are hilarious!  I love getting him going having a conversation with him.  He has really found his voice lately!  His new favorite trick is blowing raspberries with spit going everywhere.  As you can see from these pics, his fingers are constantly in his mouth because he is teething.  His bottom two teeth are right below the surface, and his gums have been so white lately.  I'm ready for them to pop through because they have been given us all trouble!

Feeding: Graham is currently taking 6 bottles a day at 6 oz each, but we are going to change it to 5 a day here pretty quick.  He eats at 5:30, 8:30, 11:30, 2:30, 5:30, and 8:30.  Although these past 2 weeks he is all of a sudden waking up again between 3 and 4 in the mornings.  I have been blaming it on his teeth and lots of travelling.  I'm glad to be home for awhile to get back in a good routine and schedule.

Behavior: Graham is the happiest, most easy going baby and I'm so thankful for that!  He just goes nonstop with us whether we are running errands, playing with friends, or travelling to see family.  Graham is so quick to smile and laugh, and it just melts your heart!  One of my friends babysat a couple of weeks ago while I went to Bible study, and the first thing she said when I got home was, "Wow...he is full of personality!"  He constantly makes us laugh at his different facial expressions and actions!  Everybody comments on how busy and active he is.  He is NEVER still.  I remember from every time I had an ultrasound during pregnancy that they always commented on how wiggly he was!

Sleep: Graham is great at napping in his crib!  He is currently taking 4 naps a day at 30-45 minutes each.  I hope he will start to sleep longer with fewer naps, but he always wakes up so happy and ready to play some more!  He is still struggling in his crib at night so we were still using the bassinet until last week.  And now he has a little cold so I'm waiting until he is well and we will be crying it out at night in the crib.

Clothes: Graham is currently wearing 3 month and 3-6 month clothes.  Just today I packed up a tub full of 0-3 clothes.  I couldn't believe how little some of the outfits were and the he wore them for a good 6 weeks! He has gotten so big!  For Christmas I asked our families for 6 and 9 month clothes for him so we are set for the spring!  I can't wait for him to wear all of the cute new outfits!

Likes: being on the move, sitting or standing, his new exersaucer, ceiling fans, lights, talking, my singing - I'm glad somebody appreciates it! :), books, talking and laughing, being outside

Dislikes: having to wait too long for me to make a bottle, sitting still, getting water on his face during a bath

Favorite Moments: Graham's first Christmas is something I will never forget!  We celebrated with our little family of 3 before traveling to see our families, and we made so many special memories!  It has been so fun watching Graham explore new things and develop so much this month.  His fun and sweet personality is really starting to shine through!

Most Challenging: Getting him to sleep in his crib at night has definitely been a challenge.  He will usually go down pretty easily in it but then wake up about 1 or 2 and can't settle down and get comfortable again.  After about 3 or 4 nights of this I just put him back in his bassinet because I was needing some good sleep!  But we are ready to make this switch for good, and I know we will have a rough few nights at first but we can handle it!

Looking forward to: Graham sleeping through the night on a more consistent basis, going on a trip with Trent in mid-January for a couple of nights, watching him continue to grow and develop, a good report from the Dr. on Monday, an exciting year ahead...we found out this time last year that we were pregnant! :)

His new exersaucer that Nana and Bop got him for Christmas!

Leaning forward to sit up on his own!

Going for a walk in the BOB without his carseat for the first time!  He loved this so much!  Such a big boy!

Playing with toys and reading a book in his Bumbo!
