Halloween

We had so much fun this year dressing Graham up for Halloween!  I took advantage of all of the photo ops I could get!  It started with pictures at a pumpkin patch with Ella and Colton.  They were all so cute!

Graham the Giraffe, with his giraffe paci that he did not want to let go of!

 All 3 cuties!!

And the 3 of us!

On Halloween night our street had a party at one of our neighbors' house before heading out to trick-or-treat.  We have learned that our new street is very social, and there are a ton of kids!  Trent and I have really enjoyed getting to know everybody.  I took a few pics of Graham before the party.

 Not too sure about this...

Somebody was still feeling the effects of his 2 month shots..

Sleepy giraffe!

All of the kids on our end of the street!  Can you find G?!  He's being held by a girl in the second row right in the middle.

It was such a fun night, and I'm looking forward to when Graham is older to go trick-or-treating!

Baylor Homecoming

One of our favorite weekends of the entire year!  We had such a fun weekend in Waco with family and friends.  It was even more exciting this year having Graham with us!

We got into Waco about 3:00 on Friday afternoon and stopped at campus to feed Graham, walk around campus, and get some new goodies at the bookstore.  In the SUB we ran into one of my roommates from junior year and another good friend!  We all have babies now...so crazy!

Karol Anne with Annemarie, Ginni with Mathis, and me with Graham!

We then headed to my parents' house to await the arrival of Caden and Kaki!  It was wonderful chaos that evening...eating dinner, hanging out, and playing with the cousins!  Trent and I then met up with some friends at George's and Crickets while Nana and Bop babysat.  We got home at midnight...decently early...except when you have a baby that was up at 4 to eat! :)  It was a fun night out, though!

We were up bright and early for the parade on Saturday morning!  Although the parade was kind of a bust due to the KOT float breaking down right in front of us, we still had a great time!

 Kaki and Uncle Tag!

Graham apparently thought the parade was boring...he slept the entire time! :)

 Caden's favorite part!

 Taking it all in!

 Kaki and Aunt Ree Ree!

The first of many Homecomings for Graham!

 Katie, Kaki, and Nana

 Kaki was OBSESSED with Graham!

Always wanting to touch him and hug him!  So cute!

 Kaki with Nana and Bop!

 The whole fam!!

And our sweet family of 3!

 Love them!

 And again...
We had to keep a close eye on her! :)

Sweet Morgan walked down to see us and meet Graham!

After the parade we headed out to the stadium about 11:15.  I was just going to stay until Graham had had enough...he lasted until 6:00!!!  I couldn't believe it!  He was such a trooper all day.  At the tailgate he was just passed around to different friends.  He slept off and on and was calm and awake the rest of the time.  We took him into the game in the Baby Bjorn, and he loved it!  The noise at the game didn't bother him at all.  He got a little fussy a few minutes before half time so I decided to head back out to the tailgate to see if I could get him and I comfortable in a chair for him to nap.  It worked out great because there ended up being a weather delay and we just stayed out there with all of our friends!  We headed back to my parents' house about 6:00 after a fun but long day for all of us.  We crashed that night after eating pizza and watching football games on TV.

Hanging out with Nana while waiting for March of the Bears!

 Loved seeing Stephanie!

The boys just taking it easy!

 Graham loved napping with Matt!

With Chris, Summers, and Colton in the game!

 LOVED seeing Micah!!

Hanging out with Trent and Chris!

Still so happy at the tailgate after such a long and busy day! :)

On Sunday morning my mom, Graham, and I headed over to campus for a quick walk and another stop at the bookstore!

 The obligatory Judge Baylor pic!

 Graham and Quincy Acy!

 And of course RGIII!

We got home mid-afternoon yesterday and had a lazy day because we were all worn out!
Graham enjoyed a nice nap on my chest before cheering on the Steelers with Trent! :)

What a fun weekend!  We are already looking forward to next year when Graham will be running around everywhere! :)

Two Months

Graham was two months old yesterday!  I just didn't get a chance to post last night due to all of the fun Halloween activities!  We had a very busy two month birthday!  So please forgive his fussy pictures...it had been a long day!  He is hardly ever fussy, I promise!  But he had a long day with shots and then being so cute as a giraffe!

Stats: Graham weighs 10 lbs 1 ounce!  We are very happy with this...it has been a long road to get here!  He didn't get back up to his birth weight until he was 6 weeks old, and we had to start supplementing with formula.  He was in the 1st percentile for weight...but now he is in the 8th!!  Turns out he just wasn't getting enough milk nursing so now I pump for each feeding, and he gets formula at each feeding for a total of 4 ounces.  He is eating 7 times a day, but I'm hoping to transition to just 6 a day next week and give him 5 ounces at each feeding.  He is 23 1/4 inches long, which is in the 68th percentile.  He was a champ for his shots...he cried out as he got them but then calmed down very quickly.  I could tell he was pretty uncomfortable yesterday afternoon, but then he napped well all evening, slept great last night, and woke up back to normal today!

Milestones: Graham has become so interactive!  He focuses so well on our faces and follows us around the room.  He loves to talk to us by cooing and giggling.  I love to see his sweet smiles too!  He loves tummy time, and it is very impressive how long he can hold his head up.  I love to lean him up now when he is in our laps or against something to prop him.

Falling over!  Still working on sitting up! :)
Behavior: Graham is such a calm and happy baby.  He sometimes gets fussy in the evenings for just a little bit.  He is so easy to take places with us and is a good traveler.  We get out of the house everyday to run errands or hang out with friends, and he always just sleeps away without any problems!  He loves to spend time on his play mat, in his swing, and in his nap nanny.  He can usually spend about 30 minutes on each before getting fussy, but he can stay in his swing and sleep forever!  He is currently napping there now! :)

Sleep: Ahhh this has been so much better!  Right when Graham turned one month old, he started going longer stretches at night.  He currently takes his last bottle between 9:30-10.  He is asleep by 10:30 at the latest, and he usually wakes up anytime between 4-5.  He then goes back down for about another 3 1/2 hours.  So we generally start our day between 7:30-8:00.  Very manageable!  After he eats during the day, he will stay awake for about 45 minutes and then sleep for about 45 minutes.  We have been using Babywise  as a guideline, and it has worked very well for us!  Graham loves a schedule, just like his mama!  He has been sleeping in his room since he was about 5 weeks old.  He is still in the bassinet...he just sleeps so well in it that I hate to try anything new!  But I know we need to move to the crib eventually! :)

Clothes: Graham finally outgrew some newborn clothes in the last two weeks!  They got too short before they were too tight since he is so long.  He is now in 0-3 and 3 month onesies.  He can wear both 0-3 and 3-6 pants, we just have to roll them up a little bit! His pajamas are 3 month.

Favorite Moments: It has been so fun having Graham become more and more interactive.  His sweet personality is starting to show, and he makes so many funny faces!  We have traveled a couple of weekends with Graham, and it has been so nice and easy that he just tags along without any problems!  It has also been great this month seeing Graham gain so much weight...I am so thankful we figured out what works best for him to get the nutrition that he needs!  I have also really enjoyed getting on a schedule and having consistent eating times from day to day.

Likes: eating, sleeping, being outside/going on walks, his swing, paci, tummy time on our chests, napping in our arms, baths, stretching, car rides, ceiling fans, lights

Dislikes: getting out of the bath, diaper changes (although this has gotten better, not as much screaming!), being covered with a blanket

Looking forward to: seeing Graham continuing to become even more interactive, sitting up, introducing him to lots of friends at Baylor Homecoming this weekend, Thanksgiving with Graham

This month has been so great.  I really feel like we have gotten into a good groove with Graham.  We love figuring him out and what he likes and dislikes.  We know his cries and faces better each day.  Graham and I survived our first 2 nights alone when Trent traveled to Denver last week for work.

Yes, mid spit up...
Graham is such a joy and blessing!  Trent and I find ourselves smiling and laughing at him constantly.  We have so much fun in the evenings and on the weekends as our family of 3!  Cheers to all of us surviving the first 2 months! :)
